Will be spending less time on here. Hoping Bluesky fulfils potential:

Weirdly, I think we needed this result. A healthy stinking dose of reality for some players who have let winning the league get to their heads. Proper reset moment. #Arsenal
The thing about City’s cheating is if they had been patient and strategically determined, playing within the rules, they could have still transformed the club over time and right now be challenging for the highest honours. But they cheated and cut corners.

This was so foreseeable (indeed my early prediction when ChatGPT came out) but a lot of tech people have a hard time understanding that the hypothetical enriching use of a tech loses out to the lazy corner cutting use 99.9% of the time theguardian.com/technology/2…

So City are to be relegated to the Championship as punishment? Talk about patronising.
What are we twenty odd places below, Devil's fucking Island? We don't want them. Moping about like they're in an open prison.
Fuck em off to non-league.

The Premier League itself is a sham with City in it. We shouldn’t pretend anything is normal, it is a disgrace. Days like today remain a stark reminder that all of this is hollow & meaningless, with the league in a state of flux until they’re removed from it.
I think it has to get to the point where the other PL clubs just boycott Manchester City. Play the games if you have to, but reimburse season ticket holders and encourage the fans to stay away. Football should collectively turn its back.

Forget CPI. I prefer the Pret Meatball Index.
In 2020, Pret’s Swedish Meatball Hot Wrap cost £4.05 (source:Chat GPT)
Today I was asked to pay £7.30.
An 80% increase in six years.
Or more than 10% inflation compounded every year.
This is what inflation actually feels like.
In your lunch, your coffee, your train ticket, your insurance renewal, and your weekly shop.
It's yet another form of tax, and we're all getting poorer as a result.
The number of companies that brief “don’t tax us more” before a budget is so tedious. It’s just corporate PR 101, keeping themselves busy and pretending anyone listens. Burning fees and achieving nothing.

In 50 games where Micheal Oliver has refereed Manchester City, he has awarded them 0 red cards.
In 55 games where Michael Oliver has refereed Arsenal, he has awarded them 8 red cards.
That includes Arsenal v City where two Kovacic red challenges went unpunished.
Manchester City… 👀
Six-time French champions Bordeaux, sanctioned in the summer for financial irregularities, will play in the sixth tier of French football this season, the Nouvelle-Aquitaine league confirmed on Thursday.

Manchester City’s ongoing lack of decency and contrition is gobsmacking. Regardless of any legal outcome, they have become sporting pariahs. A byword for systemic cheating, dishonesty and arrogance. They shame themselves, their fans, and Manchester.
