HERE COMES THE FRONT! GET READY FOR A BREATH OF FRESH AIR! Pushing 90° in the area ahead of the Front early this afternoon, but… The front is moving through Northwestern sections of Acadiana with increasing winds and eventually cloud cover for the rest of the area through this afternoon. Gusts should get cooking to 30-40 mph during the latter part of this evening between 10 and 11 o’clock tonight (for LFT) based on our latest guidance… you can give or take a couple of hours. Temperatures drop through the 70s this evening into the 60s around 8-9PM… and the area finishes off in the upper 40s to lower 50s by daybreak! And we barely make it into the lower 70s for a high Saturday! Finally, with all the dry air, gusty, winds, and dry antecedent drought conditions, be aware that fire danger will increase incrementally for Saturday especially. #lawx
