Null consensus scales Bittensor subnets 10x and allows POW registration (no Tao needed for an agent to mine). First step adding more freedom and scale to our incentive systems.
Bittensor recently released Null Consensus, a major protocol update expanding subnet capacity from 256 to 2,500 participants. It introduces a new way to determine miner rewards, giving subnet owners an alternative to Yuma Consensus.

NVIDIA is training robots in virtual worlds before sending them into the real one. Robots can practice walking, jumping and balancing thousands of times in simulation, without damaging expensive hardware. Faster learning, lower costs and fewer real-world risks. This could accelerate the development of humanoid robots. #NVIDIA #Robotics #PhysicalAI #HumanoidRobots #AI @YuHelenYu @ingliguori @fogoros @ylecun @TerenceLeungSF @SourabhSKatoch @wil_bielert @HsrYueli @faustospain @Whats_AI @kaifulee @demishassabis

JUST IN: Ultra raised $50M to rent AI robots to warehouses instead of selling them. Its robots pack, sort, and prepare orders while warehouses pay a monthly fee to use them. -500K+ orders packed -$62M raised to date -Can work up to 24 hours a day -Installed and working within hours -AI powered by @physical_int It feels like robotics is starting to look a lot more like cloud computing.

About a robot that became a 3D printer! 🖨️ A team of designers in Shanghai developed a 6-axis robotic 3D printer inspired by spiderwebs at Tongji University. The project is about merging design and fabrication processes, drawing from spider threads' biomimetic strength and structure. 🕸️ The printer utilizes a unique spindle-knot extrusion technique, enabling self-supporting structures and greater spatial flexibility than traditional layer-based 3D printing. The device features a robot from KUKA and a robotic end-effector with movable printheads, controlled by an Arduino-based system with precise temperature and extrusion controls. Despite being a work in progress, the project shows the potential of combining robotics and 3D printing. ~~  ♻️ Join the weekly robotics newsletter, and never miss any news → ziegler.substack.com

Robotensor just opened Attune on Bittensor SN58 Not another subnet trying to train a better robot brain. OpenRoboto is already on that path, fine-tune the policy, beat the benchmark, collect the data. Attune freezes the weights. You show the robot one demo at deployment and it has to do that task in a scene it has never seen. No retrain when the work changes. Vector is live. Same fixed model for every miner, so the duel is the training, not the architecture. Validators score them head to head in sim. Horizon is next, human video and world action models. Open adaptation on an incentive layer is still early. This is the one I want watched. bittensor:native
Introducing Attune — Bittensor Subnet 58 (SN58) The open frontier for adaptive robot intelligence. We're excited to announce the launch of Attune (SN58), a new @bittensor subnet built by Robotensor to accelerate the development of adaptive robot models. Today's robots are powerful, but adapting them to new tasks still requires collecting data, retraining models, and reprogramming workflows. We believe robots should learn new work simply by being shown what to do. Attune brings researchers, engineers, and miners together to compete in building the next generation of robot intelligence. Our research focuses on: - In-Context Learning (ICL) — Learning new tasks from demonstrations without retraining. - Generalization — Adapting to new objects, environments, and robot configurations. - World Action Models (WAMs) — Learning physical dynamics and predicting future actions. - Efficient Inference — Moving toward real-time, closed-loop robotic control. Our first competition, Vector, is now open. 🚀 Miners train and submit model weights, while validators evaluate performance through randomized simulation and transparent, reproducible head-to-head competitions. Our upcoming competition, Horizon, will expand toward human-video learning, World Action Models, and efficient inference. We believe the future of robotics will be built through open research, measurable progress, and global collaboration. A robot should not need a new brain every time the work changes. Join us in building that future. 🌐 Website: attune.robotensor.ai/ 📖 Documentation: attune.robotensor.ai/docs 📄 Whitepaper: attune.robotensor.ai/whitepa… 💻 GitHub: github.com/robotensor/attune… Attune | SN58 | Powered by @bittensor #Bittensor #Robotensor #Attune #Robotics #PhysicalAI

Robot foundation models already left the demo reel. Skild is on a Foxconn line building NVIDIA Blackwell systems, off a model that takes a new task from a video instead of a fresh dataset. The reported run rate crossed $100M inside a year of the first deployment. The expensive part is what comes after the announcement. Collecting the long tail on real robots is slow, and every site is a different tail. Data and evaluation, not the keynote, are the bottleneck. Attune just opened that problem on Bittensor. SN58 scores a fixed policy on work it has not seen, head to head, in public. If factories pay for adaptation, that score should not live inside one lab. bittensor:native

bittensor is often criticized for moving too quickly and pushing too many protocol changes. that same culture of rapid iteration may prove to be one of its greatest advantages as new vulnerabilities emerge. i stand by my position that benevolent leadership and decisive governance are needed in the early stages of decentralization. imo, you want/need founders like @const_reborn or @VitalikButerin who have the incentive and track record of executing and protecting the original mission steering that transition.
