Bought my 81 yr old Mum your book for her birthday, @Dannythefink . She's the daughter of German refugees. She cried in the German sections and found the Polish sections incredibly fascinating. Unfortunately she's left the book in France🤦♂️ so I'll have to buy my own copy...🤷♂️
@jayblades_ Hi Jay. I hope you might be able to help. I have some old g-plan dining room chairs and two original wooden benches from Lords cricket ground. Unfortunately they've all seen better days. I suspect they're all worth some decent money if restored so what.....
I'd like to do is find a charity that teaches people restoration and then donate these chairs and benches to them, so they can be restored and then sold with the charity keeping the proceeds. I'd heard of a charity like that in East London, but they seem to have disappeared!...
