I faced five of these pitches 8 times in a two week span and after that I never liked baseball again
The Red Sox lineup was the worst in baseball for two months so that's not saying much. I don't love this trade. We didn't get enough for early.
It's actually crazy that is has not been called once ever in the open.
This isn't too far off from deflategate. Someone people don't like got caught bending a rule everyone bends
One last thing in the Bryson penalty…
Even if we hypothetically accept Bryson broke the rule:
I’ve seen a lot of thoughts that boil down to “we shouldn’t ignore this rule now because it has been missed in the past”, but that’s not really what’s going on here.
What’s happening here is “completely ignore the rule until someone you don’t like breaks it”, which is very different.
That’s not how things should function. That’s not the spirit of the game.
All his reply tweets are hate towards LIV hahaha

You can stomp the fescue to get a stance.
You can stomp the fescue to line up your shot.
It just can’t affect the swing path or lie.
Bryson adamantly claims it did not, and up until 90 minutes ago this was a self policing game. A game of honor where you’d take the players word for it unless you had clear and obvious evidence showing otherwise.
Now they’ve said they don’t believe him and assessed a penalty with nothing more than shoddy camera angles.
All pretty gross.
Someone please find a video of Rory committing a golf crime.
Here is video of Rory's full quotes on Bryson and the ruling.
On the actual penalty: "I think there's no doubt that he improved the line of his backswing. Again, it's like, whether it was careless or whether it was intentional, I don't think it matters. Hopefully it was careless, but I think the two-shot penalty was justified for sure."
Added this on everything that played out after the round: "I won't pretend to be up here and defend Bryson. I'm not particularly fond of him. I think a lot of it's performative. I think a lot of it's for attention.
"To hold the tournament hostage like that, and to have all of us, players, volunteers, everyone waiting on him to depart, I didn't feel like it was a great look."
When asked if he thinks Bryson knew what he was doing: "I'm not in his mind. I'm not in his -- but it didn't look good."
Jaoquin Niemann would be a US Open champ if he was given this same treatment as Rahm and Wyndham Clark was given the same treatment as Bryson. Crazy
Oakmont is better. More memorable holes and just a better test. What hole is memorable at shinney besides 11? Cool the wind blows. Thats what the open championship is for.
This is fact. It's not even debatable. Dustin Johnson looked like prime 2016 DJ during this same 45 minute stretch. Gary woodland was also hooping. Only defense Wyndham has is he didn't fall back to earth like those guys did but he got the lead when the course was playing easy.
Replacing the minor leagues with College Baseball would be a fantastic outcome IMO. What am I missing?
"I absolutely hate it. This is saying they want college baseball to be the new minor leagues."
@AJPierzynski12 and @ErikKratz31 believe MLB's new amateur player entry proposal is just a cost-saving move.

West Virginia HC Steve Sabins on West Virginia's track record with multiple D2 transfers and what they look for in them:
"We've had three Division 2 pitchers in our starting rotation for the last three years. All of those guys, by the way, have become draft picks in their senior year...We probably have a little bit of a soft spot for the guy that shows up here hungry, wanting to get better, maximizes his opportunity, and believes that he hit the jackpot playing at West Virginia." - @stevesabins @WVUBaseball
