I suspect that the whole TikTok drama has less to do with data security and more to do with every other social media company running to DC (with contributions in hand) to demand a ban on the app that's been whipping them in the marketplace.

Dan Gurney's Eagle F1 cars were the most beautiful race cars ever built, IMHO.

Resurfacing this. News organizations that want to win and keep the public's trust need to call out and hold responsible their writers who opted to regurgitate GOP's PR campaign rather than dig for the truth. Will it happen? 😂 🤣 💀

I don't know what happens after tomorrow (except that the true results will not come tomorrow). But I do know that if there is no GOP wave, the editors at publications such as the NYT and WaPo and NPR who have promoted that narrative need to lose their jobs. 3/4

These two proposals may have been about "the environment," but they were nothing alike. Newsom made the right calls here. Banning ICE cars will do more to help CA air than giving many upper-income households buying electric cars a tax break.

Before I wrote about theme parks, I studied stats, especially public opinion polling. People dropping land lines and blocking unknown numbers on mobile has made polling the general public far harder than ever before. 1/4

Political journalism has been committing slow-motion suicide since Whitewater. I fear that the dismal coverage in the past year might be its killing blow. "Both sides" neutrality does not lead to truth. It simply allows bad actors to normalize malice. 4/4
