1 / @ethereum is still called a blockchain. By 2030, that word won't cover it.
We turned @VitalikButerin's essay "The cryptographic world computer" into a visual reading: every block checked with one proof, final in seconds, built by many.
Explore it below 👇

My attempt to express in somewhat concise terms the true meaning of basically everything planned to happen to Ethereum starting from the fork after Hegota. It's really not just a blockchain anymore. It's a hybrid architecture that combines together blockchains and modern cryptography, to enable much more powerful properties.
FOCIL, EIP-8288, Lean consensus, state management, formal verification, advanced mempool improvements (including privacy), and the longer-term specter of obfuscation all mentioned.

smart contract security is disruptive
new contracts are really scary / hard for customers to use [bc hacks are ~unrecoverable], but they gain lindiness with usage over time that can't be matched by closed source / offchain code. Passive vs active security, upfront and fixed vs ongoing and variable, etc
sunlight is the best disinfectant

If one s3 region is down, we can serve from another one. If there's a worldwide outage in AWS, then all of Cursor will be down, not only Origin. We are gonna work on owning our own infra in the future, but right now these are our production dependencies.

Now LINKed: Wyoming's FRNT
🤖 Made with AI
NEW: The Wyoming Stable Token Commission (@wyostable) deprecates its legacy bridge & migrates the Frontier Stable Token (FRNT) to Chainlink CCIP.
As a leader in digital asset policy, Wyoming is doubling down on security by selecting Chainlink as its exclusive cross-chain infra.

Dario from Anthropic thinks the first one person billion dollar company arrives this year, and that it’ll be a prop trading firm.
In which case, I think it has to be a crypto firm.
No way a traditional prop firm can really be one person. You still need people managing prime brokers, exchange relationships, compliance, legal, clearing, settlement, reconciliation, etc.
Crypto is different. Give agents API access and they can go to town 24/7 across an expanding range of assets and instruments: spot, perps, prediction markets, tokenised stocks and other RWAs.
A one-person billion-dollar prop trading firm suddenly seems quite plausible.
AI takes care of the trading. Crypto takes care of the rest.

Most of the world's rare earth supply runs through China. We decided to build motors that don't.
Modal Motors makes electric motors and generators two ways: designs that use no rare earths at all, and designs that use rare earths sourced here in the U.S. Both run on a 100% domestic supply chain. Both are engineered to beat Chinese rare-earth motors on performance while holding the lowest cost of goods sold in their class.
That combination is hard to pull off, and prototyping is where most of it gets decided. The Make it in Michigan Prototyping Grant Program and the team at the Centrepolis Accelerator helped us close the gap between a working concept and a commercial product.
Grateful to @CentrepolisXLR8, @MEDC, @michiganofme, and @MichiganDefense for putting real support behind hardware at the hardest stage to fund.
Michigan knows how to build things. We're glad to be building here.
