Last night I had a great visit to @DSFireUpdates #NewtonAbbot fire station. The main purpose of the visit was to say a huge THANK YOU & WELL DONE for raising over £3000 for the @firefighters999 at their car wash on Saturday! 👏 Good to see the newly installed Defib in place too!
Thank you. 😀👍
Wow! 30 years in the fire service today. Where did that time go? Who would have thought in May 1993 that I would still be working @DSFireUpdates Found my first contract and I started on the eye watering amount of £4.59 an hour.🤣 Busy night last night….still going strong. 👍
Amazing effort by crews from Holsworthy, Barnstaple and Special Ops rescuing a 19 hand shire horse. Definitely the biggest horse I’ve been involved in rescuing, @DSFireUpdates @BarnstapleFire great outcome for all, he couldn’t wait to eat grass again. 😀
Thanks @WayneRawlins2 a challenging job made easier with the professionalism of the crews. I needed to finally sit down at about 04:00. Great work from @DSFireUpdates crews on a long Xmas eve👍
Well done to fire crews who worked through the night. Large hotel fire in Torbay requiring evacuation of almost one hundred guests. Breathing apparatus crews dealt with a serious fire and search and rescue operation. Thank you incident commander @robcude @DSFireUpdates
You are more than welcome @WMParaEDurante we are lucky to have such a great team. Happy Christmas.

Another interesting incident for @DSFireUpdates Torquay & Paignton Fire Crews. A 12 year old child had become cut-off by the incoming tide on a section of the sea wall. Crews worked collaboratively utilising @jesip999 with @TorbayCRT and @RNLITorbay to safely effect the rescue.

Thanks for the support this morning @LeeBlackburn790 interesting job, with a fortunate outcome luckily.
The phrase "dying for a fag" ....... Never been so relevant. Attended a scene #fireinvestigation with @robcude and Green Watch Torquay this morning. Very lucky family indeed, smoking in bed is lethal!!! "It's never happened before". Only got to be unlucky once! @DSFireUpdates

It is with great sadness that we join with members of the fire service community, the whole country and people from across the world in mourning the passing of Her Majesty The Queen, our loyal Patron of the past 69 years bit.ly/3RsTn87

Attended a fire in tall building ex in Paignton last night. Carried out the evac officer role. Great to have casualty union involved all ringing 999. Lots of FSG. Info flow worked well with BA teams rescuing them all. @DSFireUpdates
What an amazing place we live in. Incredible that we get to work here as well. Pumping drills with the Dartmouth crew this evening. @DSFireUpdates #riverdart
Interesting video.
URGENT: If you have an idle tractor that isn’t connected to a cultivator right now, please stop everything & go & hook them up! A hero on our team saved a neighbours crop and probably most of ours due to some quick thinking & smart, speedy action.
Well done @joe1411p
Great Maritime Fire Emergencies course over the last few days. Loads of new knowledge gained.
Course complete three good days of peer learning, now we need to think about how to maintain the skills of a Maritime advisor for @DSFireUpdates @robcude @MerrileesPeter @Pete_Watts72
Great multiagency response to a fire on the cliffs near Oddicombe Beach. @Teignmouth_RNLI @RNLITorbay evacuated 18 people from the beach, whilst @DSFireUpdates Torbay and Teignmouth crews worked with @TorbayCRT on the cliff extinguishing the fire.
Great day uploading a suite of incident command operational guidance docs. Newly created by the project team and shared by 3 services in a collaborative working environment. Plus an inclusive cream tea construction. @DSFireUpdates @ReubenBeavis @antwestbrook
Very proud that two of my team were short listed for ‘Team of the Year’ in our People Awards 2022. They didn’t win but the recognition is well deserved. Congratulations to Wincanton Fire Cadet Instructors. Great virtual awards hosted by @DSFireUpdates
Last night I attended a serious flat fire. It was the first time I have seen one of our new smoke curtains in use. Great piece of kit well received by the crews. @DSFireUpdates implemented as one of the Grendel recommendations. Great effort by all crews.
