Can an LLM-based teaching assistant increase teaching presence?
In our new @LearningAtScale paper, we present an experimental study of the effect a virtual teaching assistant has on student perceptions of teaching, social, and cognitive presence. 1/8

The social presence effect was a surprise though! It opens up questions about why Jill Watson has this effect and whether the effect leads to other benefits down the line. 7/8
Thanks to my coauthors Sandeep Kakar @PratyushaMaiti @krntneja and @AshKGoel, and thank you for the support of everyone at @dilabgatech @AI_ALOE and @gtcomputing!

PhD position in my lab to do science-of-science with me. We want to quantify rigor (and how our upcoming c4r center improves it). Prior experience with NLP and science of science necessary. DM me. I am trying hard to keep my group small (shrink it); but this is very important.
I am really looking forward to digging into this
Thanks to the contributions of an amazing group of field-leading authors, Mike Kahana and Anthony Wagner (@SUMemoryLab) are excited to announce that the Oxford Handbook of Human Memory is nearing publication! Chapters can be found at: memory.psych.upenn.edu/Oxfor…

How do you go from an idea to an abstract? Ever seen a candid, unscripted video of how that could go?
Watch as @j6m8 and I bring a neuroscience idea to @KordingLab and turn it into an abstract!
🔥See the magic happen on video!🔥
