There is no name for a parent who loses a Child. We have words for so many kinds of loss - widow, orphan but nothing for this. Maybe bc no word could ever hold the weight of it. Losing a Child is like losing a piece of your own soul. It changes you forever. Some days the grief is quiet, a soft ache that hums beneath the surface. Other days, it crashes in waves, sudden and overwhelming. There are moments I still reach for them, still expect to hear their laugh, still whisper their name into the silence. But even in the heartache, I carry their love. I carry their light. I carry every memory, every giggle, every tear, every beautiful moment we shared. And I hold onto the hope that love never dies - it just changes form. To every parent who has walked this road, you are not alone. Your love, your tears, your courage to keep going - it matters. And to my precious Child in Heaven, you are forever in my heart. Forever my baby. Forever loved. Forever missed. #Repost & let someone know that they are not alone. ❤️ Ashley ❤️
