A juror who acquitted Yorgen Fenech wrote "not even her children mourn her" in a juror WhatsApp group they disturbingly named "The line of truth". Others hid prior hostile posts about Daphne.
Was this a trial capable of holding killers to account?

Heritage Minister Marc Miller says Ottawa must draw a “fine line” between “legitimate and illegitimate discussion” online.
That should alarm every Canadian. The government does not get to decide which opinions are legitimate.

Why are these guys so endlessly obsessed with controlling what Canadians can say, write and read?

You can tell your civilization is on the decline when the word “beauty” is mentioned less often than “power structures” in your humanities departments.
Canada is not “the most European of non-European countries”, Mr. Carney. I lived in the European Union for 15 years and traveled to all but three of its nation states, most of them multiple times. This is what I observed.

“The contrast between the bravery of Daphne Caruana Galizia and the cowardice of [Yorgen] Fenech is as shocking as his acquittal.”

In Malta, Yorgen Fenech admitted paying money to Daphne’s killers, admitted covering it up, and asked for a pardon 3 times - a jury acquitted him anyway. He walks free.
In Slovakia, Kočner was acquitted of Jan’s assassination (under appeal). He is in prison for tax evasion.

The European Union’s mafia state just hit a new low. The accused mastermind of the brutal murder of journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia was acquitted last night in Malta.
You’ll wonder why after reading this short update.
