Really, really good #BTV tips from hometown girl @ilona_maher - most travel writers will miss some of these.

If you love baseball, you have to root for Chandler Simpson. A throw-back. And the @RaysBaseball are playing baseball like it was meant to be played.

Let this be a reminder to the wishy-washy Joe Mancin @vtdems as they head to the polls that @GovPhilScott is bought and paid for by MAGA republicans.

The ad buys follow recent polls that show Scott facing the toughest reelection bid of his gubernatorial career. Vermont Democrats say the arrival of outside money signals growing fear among Republicans that the five-term incumbent is in electoral danger. vermontpublic.org/local-news…
Hey @JonBatiste don't come to #Stockholm! @Stockholmsstad will have you arrested for trying to do something so wonderful!

The death penalty is inadmissible because it is an attack on the inviolability and dignity of the person. The common good can be safeguarded and the requirements of justice can be met without recourse to capital punishment: effective systems of detention have been developed that protect citizens while at the same time do not completely deprive those who are guilty of the possibility of redemption. #NoDeathPenalty

Pope Leo XIV: Someone who says 'I'm against abortion' but says 'I'm in favor of the death penalty' is not really pro-life. Someone who says that 'I'm against abortion but I'm in agreement with the inhuman treatment of immigrants who are in the United States,' I don't know if that's pro-life.
In 2029, I fully support public executions for those convicted of corruption in public office and for those who disrupt or try to steal elections.

If I were the Cornell board here's what I'd do this week:
-Fire the University's President & replace with woman President
-Ask the President of the board to step down & replace with a woman
-Expel all of the Cornell 7 gang-rapers
-Publicly apologize to Jane Doe & the community

John Killacky is one of the best, most beautiful human beings I know. We are so, so lucky in #btv #vt and #vtpoli that he chose to live here and enrich our lives with his grace, art, and humanity. This will be a sadder and poorer place without him.

One of things I miss most about #Vermont in the fall is the pick-your-own apple orchards. They are almost non-existant in the Stockholm area. The fact that they have so many different types of apples, each becoming ripe at different weeks, is just an incredible luxury
“We became marketers and entertainers,” a state apple expert said. “Pumpkin patch runners and corn maze makers.”

OK @vtdems and @BTV_Dems (and @progparty) leaders, it's time to show that you've got a little muscle and are not just a bunch of milquetoasts. This is an all-hands on board moment. Don't wimp out!
