So, I’m ending the last day of October by unlocking a new spa experience for myself!🎉
This is actually my first-ever visit to an Alpha branch. Funny enough, Alpha East and Alpha Main are much closer to me, but perhaps there’s something special about this newly opened branch in Makati City called A by Alpha @a_by_alpha that made me want to give it a try.
Over the past few days, I’ve been receiving invitations through their X account via direct message, sharing information about their new services and ongoing promos. Their team was also very responsive to all my inquiries, patiently answering every question I had. I felt well accommodated even before stepping into the establishment. And so, tonight, I finally decided to give it a shot and made my reservation.
Despite the little over an hour's drive from my place, I can honestly say that the experience was worth it. I left feeling satisfied and happy with my overall visit. Plus, there's a huge paid parking area right across the establishment, so there's no need to worry if you're bringing your own vehicle.
I particularly enjoyed the amenities! The dry sauna and steam room were great, but my absolute favorite was the rooftop bar and lounge. Such a nice place to relax and unwind! They also have a small pool and an O-Room (which has a big couch inside).
From the reception staff to the attendants, everyone was accommodating and welcoming. And of course, a special shout-out to my chosen Thera, Kenzo! Thank you for taking good care of me tonight!
When he entered the room, he greeted me, and at first glance, I immediately noticed his face card.🤭 Then, when he saw me, he casually said, “Parang na-handle na kita, Sir.”
I replied, “Parang hindi pa, kasi first time ko dito.”
And so, we began the session.
I availed of their “Awaken (Stimulating)” service, and I must say, Kenzo did a really great job. He handled my body with care throughout the entire session. The firm pressure was just right, and I absolutely loved how he worked on my palms, soles, legs, arms, back, and shoulders. I felt so relaxed! It was a beautiful balance of a soothing massage and a sensual flow. The routine and sequence were thoughtfully done, making the entire experience even more satisfying.
From time to time, I'd open my eyes just to catch a glimpse of his face. There was something about his look that felt so familiar. I kept thinking, Where have I seen those eyes before?
Then, when I finally turned over and lay on my back, we had a little chit-chat. And to my surprise, tama nga siya from the very beginning of our session — na-handle na niya ako before!
It was HIM! That same therapist from another spa, way, way back, where I had two sessions with him before. Small world, indeed!
Back then, he had that distinct Korean look going on. This time, mas nag-normalize na ang atake, but still gwapo and charming as ever!🤭 What made it even nicer was how the conversation naturally flowed while he was giving me a head massage. We exchanged a few updates and caught up a little.
And in all fairness, he has really leveled up! His massage skills have improved tremendously compared to before. You can tell that he's become more experienced and has really honed his craft. I was genuinely impressed and happy to see that growth.
I even joked that I wasn't supposed to give a tip tonight, but hey, he definitely deserved it! I happily gave him a generous tip, not just because I enjoyed the session, but also because I wanted to appreciate his improvement and the effort he put into making the experience worthwhile. Happy ako for him!
And there you have it — ang haba na ng kuwento ko! But that's what happens when an experience turns out better than expected, with a little unexpected reunion to make the night even more memorable.

A special thank-you to my therapist tonight, John!🙌 This was my third time with him, and my first two sessions were Tsunami massages — both absolutely superb! You can tell when someone knows what they’re doing, and John definitely does. His technique, complete sequence, and smooth, well-coordinated routine speak for themselves. Sensual kung sensual!😌🔥
And if I may describe him, John has that probinsyano charm — kinda tall, moreno, and with that certain appeal na mapapatingin ka rin talaga.😉✨
Tonight, I decided to try the Premium Tidal Wave (Pure Therapeutic) with him, and I was genuinely impressed! I already knew he was great at the Tsunami style, but tonight he proved that he’s also a king of combination techniques. From firm, satisfying pressure to smooth transitions, he knew how to make every movement count.
Sobrang relaxing from head to toe! From the soles of my feet, legs, arms, back, and shoulders, all the way up to the head massage — every part felt so good and well-executed. The pressure was on point, the transitions were seamless, and the overall experience was simply perfection! John really gives the impression of someone trained to handle different massage styles with skill and confidence. Whatever technique he uses, he knows how to deliver a truly satisfying and relaxing experience. Definitely another memorable session!

He’s really good, especially when it comes to the therapeutic side of the massage. My legs, soles, arms, and back felt so much looser afterward. Ramdam talaga yung relief! Next time, I’m thinking of trying his pure therapeutic (Kahi) session because feeling ko mas mag-e-enjoy ako doon. But don’t get me wrong, his Minokawa session was great, too!😊
And can we talk about Matt? He's a cutie with those mapungay eyes!😍 At first glance, he gives off that quiet, slightly mysterious vibe. But as the session went on, I discovered that he’s actually pretty cool, talkative, and curious, too. Maybe it was because it was our first session, but I appreciated how he made an effort to build rapport and keep the conversation flowing. Magaling din ang PR niya! He knows how to make a client feel comfortable without forcing it.
Appreciated the thoughtful after-massage service, too! He offered drinks and even helped me with my slippers. Such small but thoughtful gestures really make you feel cared for and pampered.❤️
Looks like Matt might just become one of my go-to therapists at GPST! Of course, I’ll still give their newbies a try and revisit some of their seasoned therapists. There are still plenty of experiences to look forward to!😉
Overall, it was a spontaneous Saturday night well spent: relaxing, rejuvenating, and definitely worth it!
