On this day 64 years ago, Ringo Starr entered EMI Studios for his first recording session as a member of the Beatles 🌟
Only weeks after joining the group, Ringo played drums as John, Paul and George worked on “How Do You Do It?” and their own composition, “Love Me Do” 🥁
George Martin had considered “How Do You Do It?” for their first single, but the Beatles were determined to release one of their own songs. Their persistence paid off: the version of “Love Me Do” recorded with Ringo that day appeared on the earliest pressings of their debut single ✨
It was an important first step for the new four-piece line-up, and the beginning of the Beatles’ recording career as we know it 🎙️🎸🎶 – at Liverpool, England

One giant leap for mankind
History was made on July 20, 1969, when Apollo 11's Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin became the first to set foot on the Moon.
For more than 5 decades, the total number of moonwalkers has remained at 12. NASA will change that with Artemis IV.

Missing my friend @JimMorrison a little bit extra today.
People often focus on the myth, but I remember the guy sitting across from me in a rehearsal room, chasing words and ideas with the same intensity that he brought to the stage.
