A take that I haven’t seen is the pressure that lands on legacy enterprises and businesses because of this launch! Users and clients will no longer tolerate terrible interfaces if even the government pulls this type of UX. The bar just got a lot higher on what people expect when using an online service.

Open-source as a corporate strategy (rather than philanthropy) has been around for a while. I feel like with AI rewriting the rule book, it will become more prevalent. If you build in crypto, aren't open rails > closed networks. Foundation governance > recapture risk? Linus's Law applies to money too, I'd say. More eyes, fewer bugs, harder to capture.

Assuming the central thesis here is correct, which is that general payment infrastructure is effectively solved, I'd be very interested in what doors this opens.

I love this, and we don't talk about it nearly enough. Tokenization is a fantastic tool, but you need to get your ducks in a row in the real world first.

I did not expect to be reading a Papal encyclical and debating it this much, but here we are.

The major question about stablecoins, if they get adopted at large, as I expect they will, is where the backing dollars actually land. If they go into central-bank reserves, are private issuers the only thing separating us from tokenised central-bank money?

New article up. It's about what a company being "AI-pilled" means, something I'm becoming more interested in. The ultimate question, I think, is how you can build a competitive advantage by using the same toolkit everyone else has access to. I'll link it below 👇

This rings true. AI doesn't really map well to what came before. It's better to rethink from first principles than to just try and figure out where it fits.

Let's say AI cracks the Shor circuit-optimization barrier and Q-day arrives before anyone is ready. Who decides what Bitcoin is and what to do with it? It's a very interesting question and @nic_carter published a fictional novella speculating about it. I'll share below 👇
