This is an interesting framing, because what the Department of Education is actually doing is prohibiting students from taking out federal loans it knows they won’t be able to pay back.
The “predatory” ones.
Prohibiting federal subsidization of financial ruin and bad debt.
This is exactly the kind of slow rollback of student loan availability that will bring down costs for everyone. The entire tuition crisis was manufactured by the Department of Education. This is how we slowly start to undo it.
Trump is banning students majoring in degrees that don’t make enough money from taking out college loans. Degrees for social work, art, religious studies, teaching aides, and music will be hit the hardest. trib.al/NmmAzhf

Sept. 27, 1942: Signalman 1st Class Douglas A. Munro shielded 10 landing craft evacuating nearly 500 Marines from Point Cruz, Guadalcanal. He was killed at 22. Every Marine got off the beach.
Commandant Adm. Kevin Lunday paid his respects earlier this month.
Munro remains the only Coast Guardsman awarded the Medal of Honor. 84 years. We remember.

This doesn’t bother me; it’s a mass market paper back. If promoting a Netflix show is part of how PRH is able to sell these for so cheap, so be it. There’s nothing stopping you from buying a hardcover instead.
