I feel like ‘I used to design websites in photoshop’ has become the new ‘I used to walk to school uphill both ways’ flex.
I think the least talked about (and kinda dangerous) UX fail is the 4pt font used to show dosages on children liquid medicine. My eyes no likey. Such an easy fix.
Is it me or is @PUMA using flash site UI from 2001 as inspo for their new line. @2advanced

cooking without a design system vs cooking with one 👩🏻🍳

ALT A still shot from the Hulu original show, The Bear. The actor, Jeremy Allen White, is cooking in a dirty and rundown kitchen. He’s stirring something in a pot and screaming at his coworkers. It’s very intense looking.

ALT A second still shot from the Hulu original show, The Bear, and a completely opposite moment from the first photo. The actor, Jeremy Allen White, is cooking in an immaculate kitchen belonging to one of the top fine dining restaurants in the world. He looks calm, but his movements are precise and he’s totally focused on plating a stunning plate of food.
Went to RATM last night in DC. They have the uncanny ability to make every show feel like you witnessed a historical event. (Even from the nosebleeds)

Had a top 5 douchey thought in my head today in Union Station. “@bluebottleroast Cortado is the Burrata of coffee”
Would it be distasteful for me to frame all of my holding companies corporate course completion certificates and proceed to hang them throughout my house? I have about 150 over the course of 9 years.
This sounds creepy on paper, but is actually important innovation we need.

My 10 (almost 11) year old said his favorite song is “Master of Puppets” and my cloning experiment is officially a success.
Had an interesting convo about possible careers lost in an automated society. One point was made about bus drivers becoming ‘bus chaperones’ since someone needs to be there for safety, and monitor bullying. Just an interesting observation/and one 1:1 swapped role opportunity.
Every designer needs to watch severance. The aesthetic of every frame is calculated and purposeful. I like to think of Deter Rams binge watching and nodding in approval.
My team here at Huge DC/ATL is amazing. 9 (!) years in and I’m still in awe with these folks and inspired everyday. That is all.
