My platformer is finally starting to look like a real game! I'm going to name it Comatosa, cuz youre trapped in some sort of dream land that you have to escape from

Finished Monster recently, and honestly having withdrawals. One of the most immersive and well-written stories I've watched

Hoping this makes someone feel better because AI stuff is cool but gets fatiguing to see I think game dev social media/ai tech bros on twitter really paint a grim picture about the landscape with all these “look at my one shot opus 5.5 game!!” posts And I think a lot of passionate creative people in the game dev community get discouraged and heart broken about this But ultimately those who do really well and stand out in game dev are going to be the ones who iterate on ideas for months and build actual crazy tooling and workflows with the help of ai, and constantly learn a bunch of new skills adjacent to game design and agentic engineering now. AI never changed that requirement of hard work iteration, development cooperation, and learned skills, despite what these one shot sloppers would have you believe. The skills required now are just shifting , and it doesn’t mean your old skills as a coder artist or designer aren’t valid , they’re just a nice head start and advantage for you into learning what everyone will be required to learn in the coming months and years

Might write an article on my blog about AI in relation to game dev. For fun It’s also getting kinda tiring to see such a stark duality of tweets like - “ai isn’t a tool” - “roblox dev is COOKED
I just oneshotted some sloppy ah game!” - “euuugh
 our water”

Small showcase of Tooltip Nesting. Really big step up from the typical 'trello game' format. #Veilbound #RobloxDev

Katsuhiro Harada's impression of Masahiro Sakurai: "If you ask me, he’s basically: ‘A Saiyan who genuinely believes he’s just another ordinary human.’ Every now and then, when the rest of us are struggling with some problem, he’ll say something that sounds exactly like Goku saying, ‘Well
why don’t you just fly?’ And I’ll reply, ‘Because we humans can’t use Flight Technique.’ Then he just stares at me with a completely puzzled look. To put it in terms of Demon Slayer, I’d describe him as: ‘Like Muzan Kibutsuji casually showing up at a drinking party where all the Hashira have gathered, genuinely believing he's just another ordinary guest’. That’s the kind of person he is." Source: @Harada_TEKKEN

Here’s a clip of a combo in the fully reworked Veilbound combat. Players are able to compose the combat skillfully to bring out their own unique playstyles. #Veilbound #Roblox #RobloxDev #FightingGame

Really hoping for more stylized / interesting action-adventure games on Roblox, tired of seeing the same thing repeated with a new skin lowkey. lmk if i'm missin out on any good ones

I love when shows just have some bullshit photoshoots. What is this meant to convey.

Only Roblox could make a brand new game that only users aged 16+ can play, despite it being designed for kids and their parents to learn how to play Roblox together đŸ€Šâ€â™‚ïž

roblox as a platform is built on the CREATIVITY of its creators/developers. morpheus AI being acquired by roblox solves the wrong problem. it's as if roblox saw its devs and mistook creativity as a bottleneck --> the real bottleneck is CAPABILITY, not creativity #robloxdev

if superman had a partner who INSTANTLY resolved every conflict, then superman is no longer an empowered hero and is reduced to a spectator. similarly, a developer who isn't developing isn't a developer. ai works best with enhancing your skills. it shouldnt be a crutch.

@Roblox @robloxdevrel @DavidBaszucki improve the engine, invest in deterministic ai that serves creators, and address the bottleneck: capability, not creativity
