I'm a momentum and swing trader, and an investor.
I don't trade opinions. I read the data — and I trade what it says.
My charts stay simple:
• EMAs — 9, 21, 50, 100, 200
• Volume profile
• Anchored VWAPs and trendlines, when they matter
Every idea starts with a deep dive: where is the money positioned, where does price want to go, what breaks if I'm wrong?
Momentum tells me when. The levels tell me where. The data decides — I just follow it.
Steel Dynamics just dropped Q3 after the close — and it was a miss, on both lines.
EPS came in at $5.26 vs ~$5.40 expected, and revenue landed at $6.5B vs $6.55B. Both misses are small on paper, but the sting is that STLD missed its own guidance range ($5.34–$5.38) — and this stock had been ripping into the print, up 1.9% today and 45% year-to-date.
The counterpoint: this was still a monster quarter operationally. Revenue up 34.6% year-over-year, record steel shipments of 3.8M tons, and EPS nearly double last year's Q3. Wider metal margins and lower scrap costs did the heavy lifting, while recycling dragged a bit.
What surprised me is the reaction risk here: a stock at YTD highs, priced for perfection, printing a double miss heading into tomorrow's 11 AM call. My take — the trend is intact but the tape just got picky. Watch how it holds the $240 area Tuesday; if it absorbs the miss there, the uptrend lives.
$SPY - As long as $SPY stays below the 770–772 resistance zone, the market remains weak.
We have plenty of potential catalysts this week with big earnings and economic events. I don't think it's going to be a smooth ride.
Personally, I'm not trading many options right now, either calls or puts. I'm mostly focusing on shares. I did sell a few puts on $NBIS because I want to own more shares at lower levels anyway.
My advice: Stay cautious and don't force trades out of FOMO.
There will always be better opportunities in a healthier market. Focus on building positions in quality names at your preferred entry levels.
Once the market settles down, I believe strong names will eventually make their moves.
Protect your capital now so you can take advantage of the opportunities later. Cash is a position too!

For many, the last few weeks in this market have been tough. Conditions were not easy, and a lot of traders struggled through it.
For us it was different. We navigated it with less risk and proper sizing. Right entries, small risk on every trade — that is the whole game. And we don't take 20 trades in a week — very few trades, only the right entries. That is what I have been doing.
The results show it. CRM +54%, while our losses stayed tiny at -1% and -6%. When the entry is right and the size is right, the losses never hurt you.
We have been doing the same thing for the last few weeks, and the results keep showing. CRM was the first closed trade of my $10K Challenge — many more to come, the same way.
Apple turned iPhones into a $109B/year subscription machine.
Services went from 8% of revenue to 26% — and roughly half the profit.
My take: hardware gets the hype, subscriptions get the multiple.

Travelers just put up one of the cleanest beats of this earnings season.
Core EPS of $9.18 vs $7.39 expected — a 24% smash — on revenue of $12.41B vs $11.36B expected. Combined ratio improved to 86.8%, and net investment income hit a record $1.098B, up 6%.
What surprised me wasn't the beat — they beat by 86% last quarter, so the bar was high. It was the price action. The stock gapped down 4% premarket after catastrophe losses jumped to $538M on tornadoes and hailstorms... then buyers stepped in all session and it closed up 1.5% at $389.54. Five straight days up.
On the call, management guided 2027 net investment income above $3.6B, and the CEO said they're 'well positioned to finish the year strong.' They also sent $1.77B back to shareholders, $1.5B of it buybacks.
My take: this is what a real underwriting franchise looks like — a 22% core ROE quarter while eating $538M in storm losses. Boring is beautiful.
• Amazon $AMZN: $717B revenue → $1.1T by 2028
• 1.7x in 4 years (+53%)
• Tigress raised PT to $385 on Oct 6
• Breakout trigger: daily close over $254.60
My read: Jassy says AWS could be a $1T business on its own. First trillion-revenue company ever — I'm in!
You know the market doesn't always bottom on a Friday, right? 👀
A little history reminder:
📉 Friday, October 16, 1987: Dow dropped 4.6%.
💀 Monday, October 19, 1987: BLACK MONDAY. Dow crashed 22.6% in a single day.
Guess what?
Next Monday is October 19, 2026. Exactly 39 years later.
I'm not saying history will repeat itself, but don't assume every Friday selloff is the bottom.
Is $NBIS heading to $140? 👀
I think YES, and I've got my ammo locked and loaded for that opportunity! 🎯
