The colour of your skin dictates how you will be treated by organisations regards complaints If you don’t have privilege Or not aware of the playbook? You will be in trouble. Always happy to advise people about complaints. Don’t be gaslighted when you are trying to improve patient safety. Find allies, try to push back. Yet sometimes? It maybe too much too. Some fight, many stop. Prioritise your own health Fight if you have the privilege.

Time to tell a story... End of last year? Raised issues of patient safety and decisions made without discussing with primary care or those living with #Diabetes Pointed out gaps in service, safety concerns As night follows day? Allegations and complaints made- designed to shut all raising of issues down. Against one of the national leads in #Diabetes Raising issues about what was designed & created by myself. Rolled on to formal investigation. Timeline from start? 8 months Through personal grief- through all things. Without much respite. Yesterday? It ended- due to lack of proof- and no case to answer Which was always the outcome - yet as ever? It's the process that's designed to destroy. Kept smiling - as I know the process well enough now.But heck-it's needed grit -especially since May Am still here. Still battling for better #Diabetes care As I always say? You cannot shut me down.
