An excellent article on the Karkardooma trial court's bizarre decision to convict Tahir Hussain despite glaring investigative lapses, contradictory witness testimonies, and else. A decade later, the Supreme Court will overturn it amid paeans to the robustness of Indian judiciary!
In July, Tahir Hussain was convicted of murdering Ankit Sharma (IB staffer) killed in 2020 Delhi riots.
But trial record raises many questions: hostile witnesses, Ankit's father who denied naming Hussain & lapses in investigation.
