🚨SEBI just changed the PMS game.
1) SEBI’s new PRIM framework allows PMS firms to manage portfolios using mutual funds, ETFs, index funds and specialised funds.
2) The minimum investment is now ₹25 lakh, compared with ₹50 lakh for traditional PMS.
3) PMS managers can decide which funds to buy, how much to allocate and when to rebalance.
4) Investors can use direct mutual-fund plans, potentially reducing distribution costs.
5) PRIM management fees are capped at 1%, but mutual-fund expense ratios are charged separately.
6) PMS firms can participate in IPOs and primary debt issues.
7) They can also invest up to 10% of client AUM in investment-grade unlisted debt, with client consent.
8) Derivatives exposure can go up to 1.25x of client AUM, subject to SEBI rules.
9) Investors with ₹5 crore+ in securities-market assets can qualify under the new accreditation route.
10) Portfolio managers can now accredit investors directly, instead of using a separate accreditation agency.
11) The bigger change: PMS is moving from just stock picking toward fund selection, portfolio allocation and regular rebalancing.
For investors, the key question is whether the extra fee for professional portfolio management adds enough value over simply investing in mutual funds directly.

Interesting comparison between India’s top discount brokers:
Zerodha: 67.6 lakh active clients
Net profit: ₹4,283 crore
Groww: 1.31 crore active clients
Net profit: ₹2,083 crore
Angel One: 83 lakh active clients
Net profit: ₹1,145 crore
More clients ≠ more profits.
Zerodha has fewer clients than both Groww and Angel One, yet its profit is significantly higher.
The business model matters.

Thank you, The Economic Times, for highlighting the issues options traders are currently facing. Bringing attention to these challenges is an important step toward creating a fairer and more transparent market for retail participants.

Biggest problem of CAS settlement is even if you are ready to book a loss and roll your position to next expiry,
same delta move premium change is not available for next expiry so this become pure lotto.🤣

Momentum less market cause more losses than a volatile one.
I don’t know about non directional traders as I am not the one.

Pune trader named Gajanan Rajguru turned ₹3,000 into ₹1.75 Crore in just 20 minutes.
Kotak Securities allegedly showed ₹40 Crore free margin in his account by mistake.
First trade → ₹54 Lakh loss
Second trade → ₹2.38 Crore profit
Final Profit = ₹1.75 Crore
Then Kotak rushed to court saying:
“The profit was made using our money, so it belongs to us.”
Court said:
Trader used his own skill & also took real risk.”
“If losses happened, trader had to bear them, then profits also belong to him.”

Vijay Kedia Sir’s story is proof that survival comes before success.
Early in his career, the losses got so bad that his mother was about to sell her jewellery to clear his dues. He has said he prayed to be saved, and somehow was. That was where he learned the value of a stop-loss.
For years he barely made progress. Six family members shared one room.
Then came ACC, bought near ₹300, sold near ₹3,000, the trade that bought his first home in Mumbai.
The real wealth came later, and slowly. Atul Auto, Aegis Logistics, Cera. Held for a decade. Multibaggers.
Same market that nearly broke him. The difference was patience.

Five rules that protect my trading:
1. Avoid big losses.
2. Never add to a losing position.
3. Don't chase moves that already happened.
4. Use trailing stops to protect gains.
5. Only enter when there is a real edge.
The goal isn't to win every trade.
The goal is to stay in the game long enough for your edge to work.
