when i worked for 2 summers at my family’s funeral directors in Sunderland in 1990s, it used to take about a week from passing ➡️ cremation. in the UK in 2025 (at least in some places) the new normal is 4-6 weeks! cremations handled by local councils, WTF is going on? funding?
