Can’t wait for the apology from @stephenasmith on @espn… queue serious, low tone Stephen A. - “ Look y’all know me long enough to know, if I knew this man was battling mental illness I wouldn’t have said the things I said”..a bunch of stuff about how people close to him have suffered with mental illness- Locks eyes with camera “ I just want to apologize, to him, his family and anyone else affected by mental illness”
"Now he calls it quits, not before the season. Not in the offseason…four games into the 2026 season, a dude that has been in the league forever, sits back and says I need to focus on my mental health" – Stephen A. Smith on Lane Johnson retiring

Before you pit bull apologists read this and start going into instant breed defense, just know my dogs best friend is a pit bull. let people keep the ones they have and outlaw the breed, my 71 yr old mother and her dog were just attacked by one walking through their neighborhood. It broke through it’s fence to get to them…thank god her 40 pound dog was able to fight it off long enough for help to get there, while my elderly mom was screaming for her life. Every fucking dog attack story is a pit bull, they need to be classified out of ownership, this one like every other story “never hurt anyone”. None of them hurt anyone until they do. @ParmaHtsPolice @CuyahogaCounty @ASPCA

Best way to describe being a @browns fan at the beginning of the @nfl season..it’s like seeing a movie when you’ve read the book it was based on, you know what’s going to happen, pretty much how it’s going to end (disgust and apathy), you just want to see what they’ve changed.

Can always count on fucking idiot local news people to cut in to a major sporting event with a weather report of an area they area they don’t even broadcast to. I cant wait for local news to just be discontinued. @wkyc

We used to be a proper country
Newsboys Smoking Cigarettes, St. Louis, Missouri; 1910.... At 11:00 a.m. on May 9, 1910, photographer Lewis Hine encountered these young newspaper sellers at a gathering place called Skeeter’s Branch near Jefferson and Franklin in St. Louis. His original field note was remarkably direct: “They were all smoking.” Hine was working for the National Child Labor Committee, documenting children whose working lives were largely invisible to middle class America. Newsboys, or “newsies,” purchased newspapers themselves and then sold them on the streets. Unsold copies could mean lost earnings, and some boys worked late into the evening. Smoking was only one adult habit common among street children. Contemporary accounts described newsboys gambling, playing pool and sometimes drinking alcohol while waiting for papers or between editions. Hine spent years documenting child workers in mines, factories, farms and city streets. His thousands of images helped turn child labor from an abstract political issue into something Americans could actually see. Hine sometimes disguised himself as an insurance salesman, Bible salesman or industrial photographer to gain entrance to workplaces where owners did not want child labor conditions documented. #archaeohistories
