Based off the last few weeks of watching, think Hoekstra could be genuinely Good once he has enough miles in his legs to maintain the action through third, fourth, fifth spells #SheffieldShield

My favourite stat I couldn't figure out a way to fit in there: - Fraser-McGurk v Swepson: 7 (16) - Fraser-McGurk v everyone else: 115 (47)
🔥 14-ball half century, the quickest ever in Australian domestic cricket 🔥 49-ball century 🔥 122 from 63 balls, with 10 fours and 9 sixes Jake Fraser-McGurk had a time at Karen Rolton Oval #OneDayCup

Was rapt to see Jaymie Graham quite firm on North Melbourne's main on-field issue today. It paled in comparison to seeing what a great human he seems to be, but kicking a footy still has its moments. Some words to illustrate the importance of fixing the forward half game ⤵️

This whole ODI series of 'let's see how many runs Australia can pile on before the spinners make us look like we forgot how to bat' has been a ride #SAvAUS

Tonight's viewing. Can't believe PAC was literally on my TV yesterday and I was marvelling at how easy he always made everything look.

New: ProPublica’s Jake Pearson lost $10,000 mimicking the betting patterns of a problem gambler on DraftKings to test the company’s “responsible gaming” safeguards. One week in, he was invited to become a VIP — and faced little pushback as he spiraled. propub.li/4dGHrwr

Haven’t done this for a while, so here’s a thread on the Grand Final and what happened for Brisbane to complete the comeback. A usual disclaimer that pointing out any mistakes isn’t done with the intent of starting a pile on but rather to illustrate the game flow. This was fun ⤵️

This one is the Ryan Lester appreciation tweet because after Freo fall behind, they instantly win it clean from the centre. Lester puts in not one, not two, but three superb efforts. First he spoils Amiss but goes to ground while Amiss stays up. But then Lester is back up tackling Amiss and forcing the handball up in the air. Then to cap it off, while the ball is pinballing around, Lester grabs it in the nick of time before Josh Treacy and punts it out on his left. Superb.

Sometimes they say it’s better to be lucky than good. To seal the game Brisbane were both. From the stoppage with 30 seconds remaining, it gets over the back and Serong is out in so much space… But the ball bounces in the exact opposite way he was hoping – directly into Will Ashcroft’s hands. From there Ashcroft is unbelievably good. Game over. Three-peat secured.
