Cash recorded this song near the end of his life and facing his mortality, the song is full of nostalgia and regret
He died about a year after the song was released. It serves as his epitaph in a way, and is heralded as one of the most transformative and powerful cover songs ever recorded

Grazie dell'attenzione

i love this Robert Smith quote from 1985..😆
"If I wasn't in a band I'd start The Cure up now because I still detest the people in the Top 10 as much as I did when we started"

Kurt Cobain rarely talked about this song, but he did say that it was dedicated to his wife and daughter, The song deals with everything that was expected of him and the changes he had been through, which weren't all pleasant judging by the lines, "Married... Buried."

Debbie Harry and Chris Stein wrote the first version of this song in early 1974, shortly after they first met. They didn't have a proper title for the song, and would refer to it as "The Disco Song." Harry explained on the show Words and Music..

What a Story!✨
“Cazzo, non mi avevi detto che era
fottutamente così bravo”
il 1 Ottobre 1966 i Cream dovevano
suonare al Central London Polytechnic
di Regent Street, mentre Eric Clapton
e Jack Bruce stavano girando per il
back stage della struttura si imbatterono
casualmente in Chas Chandler,
band e quello strano afroamericano,
Slowhand appena visto Jimi Hendrix
suonare aveva capito di non essere
più l'unico dio della chitarra 🎸
