I’ve appeared to have angered some Oaklanders.
Look, I love Oakland, in terms of geographical location, and Climate.
In that regard, it has everything going for it.
But let’s not pretend that leadership hasn’t allowed Oakland to decay into an absolute shit hole.
Are there still some nice parts?
Yes.
But everything in Oakland is overshadowed by abysmal policymaking.
Schools are in shambles.
The most identify landmarks, in The Town, are tent cities.
The police department is in shambles.
They’ve lost every professional sports team that carried a large portion of the Oakland economy.
Crime has threatened and pushed out businesses.
I think the owner of Angel cakes, rest her soul, would agree with me in that regard.
In-N-Out Burger was forced to shut down, not because people don’t enjoy Double Doubles, but because people continuously got robbed in their parking lot.
The district attorney was recalled.
The mayor was indicted.
Oakland might be the most corrupt city in America, and it’s still being run by the people with the exact ideology that destroyed it.
If you want to see what progressivism looks like in action, look no further than Oakland.

💥NEW: CNN's David Axelrod just admitted what few Democrats are willing to acknowledge: Trump is "VERY SOPHISTICATED."
Axelrod noted Trump commandeered the news cycle with his ban against CNN, MS NOW, and Politico.
So many shows devoted significant time to the president's press ban.
Instead of discussing gas prices and other issues to hurt Trump, they fell right into his trap.
Trump also picked the perfect target for his news cycle hijacking operation: the media.
Americans' trust in the media hit a record low of just 28% in 2025, according to Gallup.
It's not just Trump supporters who have lost faith in the media either.
Republicans, Independents, and Democrats all have historically low trust in the institution.
"Very sophisticated" may even be an understatement from Axelrod.

They walked into rooms as Capitol Police.
They walked out as Trump supporters.
Rep. Clay Higgins sat with Lara Logan and said he has seen the tape. Capitol Police and Metro officers entering rooms inside the Capitol in uniform. Coming out dressed as MAGA and construction workers. Trump was still speaking outside.
On the inside: groups of five and six already moving through the halls. Doors opening from within. Men on the interior steps waving people forward. “Come on.”
Lara asked the only question that still matters.
“You’ve seen that?”

“So why has that video not been released yet?”
They have sat on it for years.
Higgins did not call it a riot that got out of hand. He called it coordinated. Nefarious forces. Guides who already knew the unmarked offices.
Release every angle. Then let the country judge what January 6 actually was.

He has tapped into the massive frustration felt by millions of Americans after YEARS AND YEARS of false, biased, dishonest propaganda from the media. John Cleese, 86, is being targeted by activist group Deenified as he tours England with his Holy Grail stage show. The group has accused him on X of "using your platform to attack Islam" and "spreading dangerous misinformation," with one activist calling free speech "a convenient shield for anti-Muslim hostility."
Cleese rejects the Islamophobe label entirely, calling himself "Islamosceptic," and has pointed out nobody ever called him "Christophobic" after Life of Brian. Islamic outlet 5Pillars has gone further still, explicitly demanding he be de-platformed.
Rupert Lowe has already called this what it is: a pressure group trying to bully an 86-year-old man into silence over jokes and honest opinions. He's right, and he's right to tell Restore Britain to back Cleese publicly.
These people don't want dialogue. They want submission. Every time someone caves to this kind of pressure, it teaches them the tactic works, and they come back harder next time for the next target. Cleese is refusing to bow, and every single person who values the right to criticise a religion without getting hounded for it should be standing directly behind him.
