RVT Advisory Board Member Joanne Bergamin is at the @TheAusIMM Critical Minerals Conference in Brisbane, where conversations have gone well beyond the minerals themselves. A strong theme has been what responsible development looks like in practice – maintaining environmental standards, following the science, building genuine community and First Nations partnerships, and providing greater certainty through the approvals process. Mark Breitfuss from Onterris spoke about taking a deliberate, science-led approach to environmental approvals and not cutting corners. Mark has assisted RVT on our recently lodged EIS, and his take-home points closely reflect what we’re trying to do at the Richmond–Julia Creek Vanadium Project – maintain the standards, follow the science and provide greater certainty around the process so the goalposts aren’t constantly shifting. Nothing says community celebration like a country race day. It was fun to be at the Meeting of the Mines 2026 Cloncurry Races, and to see the Mayors of Cloncurry and Mount Isa, Greg Campbelland Peta McRae, relaxing after a massive week for Meeting of the Mines. Huge thanks to Austral Resources for generously hosting Joanne Bergamin and many from the mining community in their trackside marquee. We thoroughly enjoyed the fabulous Northwest hospitality and food, as always. Terrific to see locally-based miners such as the Harmony Australasia team support the event by getting behind the bar for the day. Events like this are a reminder of what makes our region special: industry, community and connection, all in one place. $RVT #MeetingOfTheMines #Cloncurry #NorthwestQueensland #AustralResources #CriticalMinerals

As part of RKP’s Min Tang’s visit to Australia, RVT Executive Chair Brendon Grylls took Min to the Queensland Resources Common User Facility in Townsville, home to the Queensland Government’s #vanadium processing facilities. It was a particularly relevant stop given $RVT and $RKP’s shared ambition to build an Australian mine-to-battery vanadium value chain, connecting Australian vanadium supply with electrolyte production, battery manufacturing and long-duration energy storage. Having Min on the ground in Townsville was also a chance to show him firsthand the infrastructure and capability being developed in North Queensland to support a local vanadium industry. From mine to electrolyte to battery, this is exactly the kind of infrastructure Australia needs if we want to build more of the value chain here at home.
