4/4 Mercury 3 is available today on the Inception API Platform and through @OpenRouter, @baseten , and @vercel. For the launch, we’re offering it 50% off, at just $0.1 per 1M input and $0.35 per 1M output. Enterprise customers should reach out to our team for higher rate limits and dedicated support. inceptionlabs.ai/blog/introd…

1/4 Today, we’re releasing Mercury 3. Mercury 3 is by far our most powerful model and the most intelligent diffusion LLM ever released. It outperforms GPT-6 Luna and Haiku 5.5 on quality while running at 1000+ tok/sec.

Mercury 2 has been named one of @TIME's Best Inventions of 2026! Our first reasoning diffusion LLM, and the first of its kind in production, was recognized in the AI category. Thank you to the judges for recognizing diffusion LLMs as one of the technologies shaping the future of AI. The lower latencies offered by diffusion LLMs opens the door for real-time AI systems like coding models, voice agents, and search engines. It’s a great win for diffusion LLMs. More to come! 🧵

Excited to share that Mercury 2 is one of @TIME's Best Inventions of 2026. Not long ago, diffusion LLMs were just a research idea. Now Mercury powers products people use every day. Proud of the @_inception_ai team. Something bigger coming next week 👇🧵

Meet the first drama-free data center from Rune Energy. Powered by solar, without taxing the electric grid or raising energy bills for local communities. Rune installs its data centers between rows of solar panels in under 60 minutes. No cranes. No concrete. No new grid connection. They turn energy that would otherwise go to waste into compute. Today, Rune emerged from stealth with a Fast Company feature and announced a $40 million Series A backed by Spark Capital, Union Square Ventures, Lowercarbon Capital, and others. Data centers without the drama. cc: @albertwenger, @santopoliti, @claydumas

We've raised $40M to turn stranded solar power into AI compute, no grid connection required. Meet RELIC, the drama-free data center, deployed in under 60 minutes and already live at a 200MW site in Texas. More from @adele_peters at @FastCompany.

The right way to measure AI value: intelligence per dollar. Our co-founder and CEO @StefanoErmon joined @YahooFinance Live to talk about Mercury 2.5, our newest and most capable diffusion LLM model yet, and why he thinks about it this way. Thanks for having him @BrookeDiPalma!

Mercury powers real-time voice systems with the tightest latency budgets. @OpenCall_AI runs AI phone agents on live patient calls. After moving off a specialized chip provider, they scaled from 300M to over 1B tokens per day, with median model response latency under 200ms.

We raised a $35M Series A led by @oakhcft . That brings our total capital raised to $43M. We spent the last decade watching money get stuck at borders across roles at Uber, Coinbase, Stripe, and Zero Hash. Latitude (@rtp) is what we built with those lessons.

Tokenmaxxing is out. Valuemaxxing is in says @adityagrover_ live at the Ai4 Podcast Pavilion, on the Inside @AsembleAI Podcast with Sam Dey. ⚡ The industry spent years optimizing for quality at any cost. Aditya's POV: that era's ending, and what comes next gets measured in value delivered, not tokens burned. Listen to the full conversation: open.spotify.com/episode/3Yj…

The next frontier in AI is turning powerful general models into specialized systems that reason better, perform reliably, and improve for each business. That’s the opportunity @DeepCogito is going after. Founded by @drishanarora and @drvdhruv—who helped build Google’s AI Search products—Deep Cogito just raised a $43M Series A led by @TQVentures, with @ericvishria at @benchmark, @nexusvp, @Atreidesmgmt, @spc, and @VSCVentures. The round brings total funding to more than $56M—and @zscaler joined as both a customer and strategic investor. Deep Cogito has already released open-weight models spanning 3B to 600B+ parameters. Now it’s bringing frontier-lab-level post-training to companies that want AI built around their own data, workflows, and competitive advantage. Every major AI lab post-trains models for its own products. Deep Cogito is giving the rest of the market that same power. Proud to have @VSCVentures join the round and have @VSCPR help introduce the company to the world in today's @WSJ

Deedy Das has been a VC for 2.5 years. In that time he's backed OpenRouter, Wispr Flow, Goodfire, Pangram, and more. He also passed on a company Nvidia later bought for $20B. On this episode of CLIMB, @DeedyDas, Partner at @MenloVentures, brought *all* his receipts. We also had a fun debate about the value of going open source. When he said open weights are not going to be the cheap way out, I pushed back so he priced it all out for me. KIMI K3, about $15 per million output tokens. Well, Opus is about $25. That's all the discount you are getting, and to get it you are now hosting and maintaining a 2.8 trillion parameter model yourself. His read on the labs shipping open weights is that they are not in the business of giving away free things. They'll give it away until they can charge for it. What if frontier model costs don't meaningfully come down? Maybe free models were never free? Hear his argument for yourself and tell me if you agree. EP 101 of CLIMB is live 👇

"We have a giant fusion reactor in the middle of the solar system. It never shuts down. And we can print solar panels like newspapers." The only problem is solar panels got 40 lbs heavier, sites got 9x larger, and the crews stopped showing up. So @PuneetP wrote the software that lets rented construction equipment build solar farms by itself. 35,000 panels installed, zero broken. @GrittRobotics software is how America actually gets to energy abundance. His ever first long-form interview. On our 100th episode of CLIMB. The latest in our Dirty Jobs series:

Apple FaceID Inventor and his new startup want to answer a simple question. Why is the brain still the only major organ without an objective test? After 6 years in stealth, @HemisphericAI launched with $52M to change that. Their frontier NeuroAI model, Descartes, is trained on 250K+ hours of brain data from 100K+ people—aiming to decode the brain non-invasively and unlock more precise, personalized care. Brain health is overdue for a breakthrough. Proud to help tell their story. Thank you @WIRED for breaking the news.
