Poker will always be profitable. Absolutely laughably terrible advice lapped up by equally clueless people who all have excuses for why they can’t beat stakes for actual money. It’s not that this is losing necessarily, but it’s worse than being competent & paralyzing for growth.
Stop raising to $20 over three limpers with AJ offsuit in your local $1/$2 game. You think you’re "punishing" them. In reality, you're building a massive, bloated multi-way pot out of position with a fragile hand. Here is the raw truth about the Low Stakes Multi-Way Trap. 👇

Best way for Elon to get me to pay for premium is for it to include an option to block posts from certain continents. I’m glad some people make some money on this app but monetization has absolutely ruined X. Disappointing because a lot of things (community notes) are much better

Flattering to leave a company and get a million “get me off this sinking ship, take me with you” messages, but the truth is a leader should be partially judged by whether they created systems that can outlive him. We’ll see. Either way, time for a new chapter!

Yes but it requires thinking. 1. Monthly gender splits are generally all over the place, although this is more exaggerated than most. 2. That volatility maps to which sectors grew and which shrunk. 3. When education, health, and hospitality go up, female jobs outpace male.
Is there any way to look at this besides systemic discrimination against men?

1. With a long enough time horizon, can safely bet against most dessert concepts. 2. They actually did better for longer than I expected. 3. For all the bears (like me) taking victory laps, all the 1st generation people made a ton & many sold near the peak. Early > never > late.
I guess all the Crumbl perma-bears were right. This is the 4th one of these I’ve gotten in just the last 30 days. I think there’s probably some great opportunities here for a 2nd gen concept to get in cheap

My most radical take: biz owners aren’t job providers. In fact, businesses attempt to have as few jobs as they possibly can given demand. Not a bad thing. Owners invest time and capital and deserve the rewards for their risk. But the hagiography is a bit over the top.
My most radical take: small business owners should not have to pay federal income tax. We're literally providing half the jobs in this country.

With every ex I slept way worse with them but with my girlfriend I sleep better than alone. Weird experience for me but not complaining.
The data of sleeping with your partner is mixed. Some sleep better while others do not. What's been your experience?

I think this is also a function of the subset being 30s AND church going. The universe of women who prospective church are going to skew younger for marriage and so 1) being older than cohort is hard as a woman and 2) people will wonder why and 3) what comes with that trade.
I know a lot of nice, church going, relatively pretty single gals in their 30s. As an older married woman, I’ve been talking to men as to why marriage to this cohort may not be attractive and I wanted to share. It may seem harsh, but it’s better to face reality and then contend with it.  If you're over 30 and you want a husband, there are questions that men will ask themselves but rarely you: If you’ve been working for the past 10 or 15 years, what do you have to show for it? In other words, do you have assets or debt? The man is trying to figure out if he's your bailout from a life of selfishness. A lot of women don't realize that they're being evaluated this way, and would regard it as unfair, but it isn't. Women have been applying this test to men for millennia. What have you accomplished with your time on this earth? It’s a universal and fair question! If you're 20, the answer can be "nothing." You're all potential and learning to assess potential is the key skill for successful marriages in this age range. When you're 30, it cannot be that. You have to accomplish something. It doesn't mean you need money, but it has to be something meaningful. If not, the man is going to think: she lived a selfish life and now she wants me to rescue her from it, but there's no reason to think she won't continue being selfish. Men don't want this.

People hating on everything that WSOP does are too young or have forgotten that regging large events like the main used to be a 2hr process. Yeah production and parking sucks but chill a little.

I suppose because they’d like an environment where they don’t have to be called broads. I don’t love these events but the internet makes it pretty clear why some may really value them.
Why do broads need gender segregated poker to begin with

I picked date a 26 year old, close enough. 😂
Millennials, it's time to choose your midife crisis 1. Date a 23 year old 2. Quit drinking and become insufferable about it 3. Double down on drinking 4. Train for a marathon nobody asked about 5. Have a panic baby (with wife you hate) 6. "We're opening the relationship" (she bangs) 7. Get divorced 8. Get diagnosed with adult ADHD/autism 9. Niche side quests like rock climbing, hyrox, gardening, handstands

Umm not an expert here but unintended consequences of this seem obviously counterproductive to the aims of those in favor.

3. Mullin v. Al Otro Lado (6-3) Asylum seekers stopped at the border or turned back in Mexico? The Court says you haven’t “arrived” in America yet — so no right to apply for asylum.

Genuinely do not understand backing in OR being mad about it. Every driver had to reverse once and drive once, how could it impact you which order they do it in?
Is there like a fucking tik tok trend that involves backing your car in a parking space? Why the fuck doesn't anyone pull into a parking spot like a regular person anymore. Are they that fucking stupid they can't just back out? I've never seen this happen this much in my entire life, and I'm sick of waiting for these cocksuckers!

God strike me dead if I ever try to sell a tool that hinges on convincing people that they’re missing their 53s btn opens because they know 43s is a fold in 6max 100bb play.
Most poker players get this wrong in 6-max cash BTN: 53s = open 43s = fold One of the rare spots where the suited one-gapper performs better than the suited connector. Why do you think 53s performs better than 43s?

Why are people not getting a diamond card and doing free valet? I genuinely do not understand putting up with insanity for 7 weeks.
I gave up on getting out of the parking garage. I parked my car and I called an Uber. Why is @jeffplatt not down there personally opening the gate for each car?

Yes actually, that is exactly what you would expect. The senior citizens voting at the rotary at 2:30pm on Election Day obviously have different voting patterns than someone who drops a ballot on the mail at the last possible second.

So voting trends just reverse the day after Election Day? Seems legit
