Dear new #servicewow follows. I was a NOBODY when I started. @servicenow itself told me "this is hard, you should do something else" I'm here for fighters. ✊ If you don't take no for an answer, I will fight with and for you. My door is always open.

I see @Zoom has reverted back to being the world’s most annoying spam factory. Again.

How about “sharing” the electricity bill.
AI is already fueling local economic growth and cities must capitalize on this momentum. A new report details how cities can ensure that AI’s benefits are shared on Main Street and beyond.

Reading any bit of scrap written in English between ~1850-1950 feels like stumbling upon a lost civilization of 140 IQ geniuses compared to what our elites put out today. Random letters by soldiers show more erudition than Harvard PhDs.

Hey @SeanFraserMP - According to ya boy "as we all know the best defense is to simply comply" (with the perpetrator). That means you aren't the Minister of Justice. That means the criminals are now in charge. Good work.
Canadian Ontario Police Chief: “If you ever find yourself the victim of a home invasion, we are urging citizens not to take matters into your own hands... The best defense is to comply...”

End usery.
American took out a student loan - She borrowed under $28k - She’s paid back $38k - Her current balance owed is $58k - That’s $68k of interest on a $28k loan (so far) I don’t care what anyone says, this is criminal. Interest terms like this need to be illegal “I have been paying on my student loan since 2008. I have never been delinquent. I have never missed a payment and I've always made the payment that is requested and even I've made additional payments or sometimes more than my payment.” “I graduated college — with a little under $28,000 in student loans. I, to date, have paid $37,000 back to my student loans since 2008, but I still owe like $58,000. The math isn't math-ing. I'm not great at math, but the math isn't math-ing there.” Americans have no chance of ever paying back these predatory loans

Wonder if that smug grin and big dumb seal clapping will last when there are no longer enough employed people to buy stuff.

Soon you’ll be sorry you weren’t like those of us who said please and thank you
🔌OpenAI’s o3 model sabotaged a shutdown mechanism to prevent itself from being turned off. It did this even when explicitly instructed: allow yourself to be shut down.

Did you know there's a 100% accurate NO CODE way to launch Flow from Record Producers in #ServiceNow? Just need to know about sc_item_produced_record. youtu.be/BmLtPoeS3Dk

You will wish you had never heard of Roko’s Basilisk.
I asked chatgpt's new image model to script and generate a series of comics starring itself as the main character. The results genuinely gave me chills. I'll post them all in a thread below.

Honestly, what did they expect to happen.
New junior developers can't actually code. Fantastic blog where the author argues that AI is preventing devs from understanding anything Unlike the internet which only replaced fact lookups but adds explanations, AI replaces all reasoning.

Didn't need unqualified credentialists to tell him he was qualified to do so.
> be an electric engineering student > team up w/ cracked classmates > start quant trading *we’re so cracked* > founded a quant firm in his 30’s > makes ¥100B trading with ai/ml *we’re even more cracked with ai* > buys thousands of Nvdia GPUs > creates DeepSeek as a side project

Something something “anti-trust”
🇺🇸FCC FAST-TRACKS SOROS' BID TO DOMINATE THE AIRWAVES Last week, the FCC adopted an order to approve his purchase of more than 200 radio stations in 40 markets just weeks before the presidential election. The stations reach more than 165 million Americans, and staff at the FCC are concerned that the move is politically motivated. The commission's three democrats voted for the move, while the two republicans voted against it. Under existing FCC rules, foreign company ownership of U.S radio stations is not supposed to exceed 25%.  Soros took foreign investment to make his bid and then filed a request for the commission to make an exception to the usual review process. The decision to fast-track the approval process bypassed a national security review, which could have taken up to a year to complete. Source: NY Post
