Overall Union Jack Classic opinion I was hugely worried about the lack of tickets sold and how that would impact the atmosphere. Despite having the upper bowl closed it was actually surprisingly loud. Jayhawks and Sun Devils fans were class and LOADS had flown over for it. It felt far more partisan than NFL games here usually do and the fans were a huge part of that. Actually quite optimistic about the event going forward. A few tweaks such as cheaper tickets to pack the place, play before NFL season starts etc, and then it could really thrive. Really surprised me how good the event was given some of the negativity around it over the past few weeks and months. It could become a regular fun, regular part of London’s sporting landscape if handled correctly.
