One time I bought an ecom course and the guy was going through examples of what not to do. Then he starts reading one of my tweets verbatim and goes “this is what we don’t want.” Probably the biggest L of my life.

I implore any young guy who can’t start a convo with a woman to spend 3 months in Eastern Europe. Spend your life savings if you have to.
It is pretty astounding the sheer % of guys who can't "go out". If you're someone who WANTS to 'go out', you're basically alone. You can grab group of 1000 dudes and 990 of them will be afraid to start a convo of any sort. Pretty astronomically fucking insane if you really reflect on it

“Consumers shocked and awed by the concept of business”
Le Parisien Bakery is a popular place in New York City This woman just spent $12 for a croissant. As she’s eating it, the delivery guy comes in You can see he’s brought an entire box of the same croissants that she’s eating, they’re from Costco…. “Literal robbery” In New York repackaging food and selling it at restaurants is legal. Reselling identical products at a premium price isn’t prohibited It should be illegal The only way this could potentially be false advertising is if the bakers openly is false advertising and says they bake it fresh from scratch

Streets say the X algo changed. So I guess I should introduce myself. I’m Rey and some of you might remember me as an organic TikTok guy. Since then, I’ve spent some time traveling around Europe, worked at Whop for a bit, and eventually went all in on building a brand. At this point we’re on pace for $3M this year across Shopify + ~500 retail stores. (Still lowkey trash at this shit tho) If you’re building something cool or trying to get into retail would love to connect. 🤝

Greyhat ecom with a wellness wrapper, $1.5M, and a PR team
TIES, a men’s fertility and performance supplement brand, launched with $1.5M in funding. The seed round was led by HumanCo, the health & wellness holding company founded by Jason Karp. Founded by husband-and-wife team Luke & Camryn Novak, TIES aims to solve an alarming but overlooked problem: global sperm counts have declined more than 52% since 1973. The company’s debut product, Foundations, was developed in collaboration with leading physicians and specialists in reproductive medicine, integrative health, and preconception nutrition.

Generational run by gruns, how much we thinking they sold for? 500m-600m?
Unilever is acquiring fast-growing VMS brand Grüns for an undisclosed sum. Founded in 2023 by Chad Janis, Grüns has become one of the largest brands in the U.S. Greens Supplement category. The company has also expanded into new categories like immunity, children’s nutrition, and pre-workout supplements. Grüns reached a $500M valuation 11 months ago. Investors in Grüns include Headline, Selva Ventures, Vanterra Ventures, Sugar Capital, and others. Unilever recently divested its massive food division in order to focus on beauty, wellness, and personal care.

nothing prepares you for watching your peers blow up while you're at $250k/mo feeling like you're still at zero (you are). genuinely happy for them tho but can't believe I'm this bad three years to get here. paying myself nothing while 40% of my net worth sits on 5 pallets in hebron kentucky. the only thing keeping me going is the slim chance we sell this thing for some miniscule amount of millions one day. oddly wouldn't trade it. but goddamn.

this year has been the Super Bowl for conspiracists
The World Health Organization has classified the birth control pill as a Group 1 carcinogen, placing it in the same category as known cancer-causing substances like asbestos and tobacco. Group 1 designation means there is strong evidence that the substance can cause cancer in humans under certain conditions. Experts stress that this classification does not mean all users will develop cancer. The risk is influenced by factors such as duration of use, age, lifestyle, and individual health. For many, the benefits of hormonal contraception—such as regulating periods, reducing risk of certain cancers, and preventing pregnancy—may still outweigh potential risks. This announcement has sparked global conversations about the safety of hormonal contraceptives, informed decision-making, and the importance of consulting healthcare providers. Understanding both benefits and risks is key to making choices that best support long-term health. - Pulse Point - ✍️

Expo West this. Expo West that. How about you expo-dite your creative process, make some ads, and actually build your DTC business.

College is mostly a bad deal, but I’ve noticed something. A lot of the sharpest operators in our space have elite school backgrounds. Not because of the classes, but because they spent 4 years around ambitious people who challenge everything. You can’t just say shit and get away with it when everyone around you is just as smart. That environment sharpens you. You learn to think through every angle. Not saying you can’t be smart without school. But when someone already had the work ethic, the discipline, and that kind of environment… Then they discover internet money and start firing bazookas. They start running laps on people fast.

Would never tell someone trying to make money online to start with ecom. Ecom requires being good to great at 35 different jobs. Ads + Creative + Product + Logistics + Management + Cash flow Meanwhile other biz models are literally 2–3 skills to $15-20k/month.

This is slightly clickbait. if you haven’t been emailed or notified, nothing is changing for you on April 1. These things roll out in waves. They test for how people respond and make sure spend doesn’t fall off a cliff across yes account. If your account hasn’t been touched, you’re likely not in the first batch… Still a high chance this launches in all accounts eventually tbh. But if you’re not seeing anything you have a little time. Will be a net positive for most brands doing things the right way.
No, it's not a joke Monthly invoicing will be required beginning April 1, 2026

Nothing humbles an ecom founder faster than catching yourself mentally justifying the math on a Shopify Capital loan.
Normal people: “My SBA loan is 9.75% APR, not bad” Ecom people: “My Shopify Capital annualized rate is 125% APR, not bad”

Realistically, the average or sub-average person needs 3–4 years to make decent money in any online biz op. Not because the internet is “hard.” Because you’re hard to trust. Your offer is mid. Your execution is slop. Year 1 is you paying to learn. Bad ads. Bad landing pages. Bad product. Bad positioning. Year 2 is you realizing “I worked all day” means nothing. Watching YouTube is pointless. Year 3 is where it finally clicks. You stop doing random shit You pick one angle, one channel, one offer, one model You get boring but equally deadly Year 4 is where “decent money” starts looking normal. Not a lucky week but real consistency. Add time if you’re building something slow and stable. Subtract time if you’re tapping an explosive growth model. Aggressive paid, viral distribution, hot market, unfair leverage, real product-market fit. Some people hit in six months because they’re freaks and the timing was perfect. End of the day, everybody pays the piss-poor tax. Most people on your TL either put in the years… or they were anomalies. (And most put in years)
