A beautiful example of calcite alabaster from the reign of King Merenre I, of Dynasty VI, in the National Museum of Scotland. Accession Number A.1960.571. Photos taken with my iPhone 17 Pro Max; I darkened the background in Adobe Lightroom to focus on the vessel.

Watched Digger - a wild & visionary satire about the fossil fuel industry and politics. Great dialogues, often laughing-out-loud funny and disturbingly true. Not popular in the US but may well become a classic. Tom Cruise deserves an Oscar for his portrayal of oil boss Digger.
