An introduction is easier to use when it includes context. Ask both people first, explain the shared topic and suggest one question they could start with. Leave them free to decline.

When reviewing a practice project, ask the candidate to explain a decision they changed. The revision can reveal how they respond to evidence and feedback.
37
A job description is a starting point for questions. Pick one responsibility you do not understand and ask someone in that role what it looks like during an ordinary week.
48
A volunteer calendar tells you when people showed up. A learner follow-up can tell you what they used. Ask what advice became an action and what support is still missing.
40
Keep a practice log with three lines: what I tried, what I noticed, what I will change. Repeating an exercise gets more useful when you can name the adjustment.

Career support can be a small, specific action: explaining an unfamiliar role, practicing an answer or reviewing one example of work. Start with what the other person actually needs.
37
A mock discovery call does not need a perfect pitch. Give a learner room to ask, clarify and summarize. Debrief the moment they uncovered something useful, then repeat one difficult part.
29
Try explaining a product without naming its features. Who uses it? What task are they trying to finish? What gets in their way? If you cannot answer yet, you have a useful research question.
18
Before a volunteer session, agree on what the learner wants to practice. After it, leave one useful note and a next step. A clear handoff helps support continue after the meeting ends.
54
A career changer may understand customers better than their job title suggests. Ask for a specific problem they handled, the choice they made and what they learned. Give relevant experience room to become visible.
42
Your next practice call needs one goal. Try asking a question, listening without planning your reply, then summarizing what you heard. Ask your partner what you missed. That gives your next attempt a clear focus.
