moving on isn’t really what scares us. what scares us is letting go of the things we used to love, the things that used to be part of our daily routine, the things we looked forward to every day, the things that once gave us a reason to keep going. because when something becomes such a big part of your life, you don’t just lose it when you move on. you lose the version of yourself that existed around it, too. and that’s what scares me the most. if i let go of the things that once made me feel alive, then what am i supposed to hold on to? what am i supposed to look forward to when tomorrow comes? how do i learn to live a life that no longer revolves around the things that once felt like home?
