@review The Visit ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Mashup of several classic Irish themes plus a hook for Americans. Feels like a book written to be made into a movie. Nothing wrong with it but you'll have forgotten it the day after you finish. Would have been better as an alternative reality story.

Where it all began.

@review Schitt's Creek ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Just a reminder of how good it was.

@review Best Medicine ⭐️ Apparently a US copy of a UK "comedy" that has been running for years. I made it all the way to 15 minutes until I couldn't bear another second. And they wonder why broadcast TV is dying. It's not the internet's fault, it's terrible writing.

@review La Sportiva Prodigio Max ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Finally got around to reviewing the La Sportiva Prodigio Max after using them a bit more. In summary - not the long-distance version of the Pro that I was hoping for. conoroneill.com/2025/12/31/l…

@review The Asset ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Superb Danish police thriller where a young police cadet goes undercover to take down a drug lord. Clara Dessau is outstanding in the lead role but all of the acting is top notch. Nicolas Bro of The Bridge fame is note-perfect as the lead cop.

@review Pluribus ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding work by Rhea Seehorn in an unusual twist on alien invasions. This one already feels like a multi-season grower after just three episodes.

18 years I've been here, plugging away. Through good times and bad. Will we ever see the glory days of 2007-2011 on here again?

Now that everyone is tired of TripAdvisor, Yelp, Google Reviews and a multitude of business reviews sites, what could user reviews look like in 2025 and beyond? Is it time to own your own part of the internet again?
