I give up.
Six months into building a business in Indonesia, and I've never felt more defeated.
Tax notices, penalties, and summonses from the tax office over 2025, when I hadn't even generated any income in Indonesia. Meanwhile, government incompetence and tone-deaf statements have made everything worse.
I'm selling all of my ID stocks. Liquidating mutual funds. Divesting from businesses I've invested in. Selling 90% of my company's shares.
Six months of entrepreneurship. Years of hard work, ambition, and belief in this country. I wanted to build something. Instead, this country has made me want to walk away.
