AI voice agent platform | Supercharge your call operations with voice AI

There was a time when a conversation meant something. Two people. One moment. Exchanging information in real time. That’s all it was. And that was enough. Then we started adding everything around the conversation… Menus. Hold music. Transfers. Scripts. We took the life out of conversations. The part that mattered most became the part we dreaded the most. Because we forgot something simple: Human connection is everything. But what if conversation was as seamless as software and as human as feeling heard? You’d have conversations that actually move things forward. That’s what we’re building at Retell: not just better voice AI, but better human connection. Because these are calls for humans.

The best AI voice agents make customers feel heard. But that doesn’t happen with a prompt you write once and forget. It takes listening to real calls, understanding what customers need, and working with the teams who know them best. That’s what brought Retell’s forward deployed engineer to SelectQuote: to work with five teams, understand how their agents were behaving, and help them improve, from more personal responses to better handoffs. Our goal isn’t just to help you deploy an agent. It’s to help your team become its own internal deployment team, with the tools and understanding to spot what isn’t working, test ideas against real calls, and ship improvements themselves. @SelectQuoteIns knows its customers better than anyone. Our job is to give their team the tools to build an AI agent that reflects that understanding.

We’re excited to launch Conversation Memory. Until now, giving an AI voice agent memory meant building a workflow to extract information after each call, store it, and retrieve it for the next conversation. The more context you wanted your agents to remember, the more fields, mappings, and logic you had to configure and maintain. Today, we’re bringing that work natively into Retell. Turn memory on with a simple toggle, and Retell maintains an evolving brief for each contact, including relevant preferences, what’s been discussed, and what still needs follow-up. As conversations progress, the brief updates, carrying useful context forward and clearing resolved action items. That context can also shape the path through your Conversation Flow. With skippable nodes enabled, agents can skip questions when the required information is already available and focus on what still needs an answer. A customer following up on a replacement has already explained the problem. Their next call should pick up where they left off and move the request forward. Last week, we hosted the first Retell Roundtable in San Francisco. Pavi Bhatter from @figma , Grace Joseph from @Google , and Lawrence Chen from @retellai joined moderator Andey Ng for a conversation about how AI is changing the way software is designed and built. We talked about the systems behind conversational AI: the data that shapes model behavior, how teams evaluate quality, what goes into a strong agent harness, and how interfaces can help people understand and guide an agent’s work. We also discussed when adding a little friction can help users learn, review, and steer. Thank you to our speakers and everyone who joined us. Full recording and clips coming soon. More Retell Roundtables to come. #ConversationalAI #AI #ProductDesign #Retell #RetellRoundtable

Every millisecond matters in voice AI. @AWS went behind the scenes with our CTO, Zexia Zhang, to show how we built Retell for low-latency, reliable voice AI that can handle enterprise-scale call volumes. Thanks for telling our story!

Your CRM is the brain, but your customers experience the voice. At Dreamforce, we took that idea to the street. We put a phone number on a truck and invited people to call Tellie, built on Retell.. to let people experience a real conversation, rather than ask them to sit through another demo. Because the best way to understand voice technology is to hear it work. Thanks to everyone who stopped by, called in, and shared their honest take. ☎️ #Dreamforce #CustomerExperience #VoiceAI

The work that has to happen before a call connects, and the work that needs to happen when it ends. - Pre-call functions: Before your agent says hello, pull the customer’s lead, open ticket, booking, or account details from Salesforce, HubSpot, Zendesk, Calendly, and more. Your agent starts informed, not like it’s meeting a stranger. - Post-call actions: When the call ends, write the outcome back automatically. Update the CRM, close the ticket, send the summary to Slack. No manual wrap-up. No webhook lag. - Parallel + sequential flows: Run independent lookups at once to stay within a latency cap, or chain dependent steps when one action needs the output of another. Teams have been rebuilding these flows in Zapier, Make, n8n, and custom Lambdas for years. That creates more latency, more failure points, and more invisible plumbing that gets blamed on the agent when it breaks. Now it runs natively in Retell, built around how a call actually happens. Retell Workflows is live in Retell now. Try it today.

Today we're introducing the Retell CLI. Your voice agents no longer live behind a dashboard. As teams scale past a handful of agents, the dashboard starts working against you. Rolling out one setting across dozens of agents means dozens of clicks. The Retell CLI puts your whole workspace in the terminal. Create an agent with one command, push a config change across your entire fleet with one pipeline, and pull call analytics - sentiment, success rate, volume - without opening a browser. Every command is self-documenting, so discovering what's possible is as easy as running one more command. Try it now: docs.retellai.com/get-starte…

We’re excited to share that @retellai AI has selected Soniox as its speech-to-text provider. Retell is one of the leading platforms for building, testing, deploying, and monitoring production-ready AI voice agents at scale. For voice agents, speech recognition is not a background component. It is the first layer of intelligence. Every call depends on understanding the user instantly and accurately, across accents, noise, interruptions, names, numbers, and real-world telephony audio. Retell integrated Soniox to help power high-quality voice agent experiences with: • Native-speaker accuracy across 60+ languages • Ultra-low latency for real-time conversations • Strong precision on names, numbers, IDs, and business-critical details • Seamless support for multilingual and accented speech Voice agents are becoming the new interface for customer communication. We’re proud to support Retell as they bring production-grade voice AI to businesses around the world.

We are in month 5 of the 5 stores using @retellai for store phones. We will be converting 100% of the @CostaOilCo corporate stores to AI Retell phones over the next 6 months. This is a nuanced conversation - we tested AI for the Oil Filter business, orders/tracking/etc and it was a failure. For the stores it has been a resounding success. 98% of calls fell into 3 batches which the AI could relay no problems. 1. Pricing. 2. Store info i.e. directions/hours/service offering 3. appointments (which we dont do) The other 2% is spam/complaints/soliciting Employee morale has gone up not having to take these phone calls anymore. They are able to focus exclusively on their work and not walk away from the service to answer the phone 30 times a day for something that is simply answered. The 2% complaints make their way to the online chatbot or facebook messenger There will be specific business models that get huge value from these, my guess is commoditized businesses, and then others which absolutely need a human, and probably a domestic one at that. xitter.cf/CostaKapo/status/20506…
Talking with an AI receptionist is so frustrating. They're incredibly stupid and absolutely wreck the customer experience.

Some of the most important pharmacy conversations happen before a patient ever thinks to call. A refill reminder. A delivery update. An insurance follow-up. That's why Capsule built its voice operation on Retell. AI handles routine outreach so pharmacists can spend more time on the conversations that really need a human. Proud to partner with @Capsule. 💊

We launched Conductor. Here are 5 things you can do with it in 90 seconds: • Build an agent from one sentence. • Turn single-prompt agents into a conversational flow, one click. • Add functions by typing them. • Cut tokens. Drop latency. • Test, find failures, fix with one-click review. Stop configuring your agents. Start describing them.
