20 yrs ago today @carolmaemae1 founded the #PedPC program @ChildrensPgh. Now, we see over 10k patients per year, have trained 13 peds fellows, mentored learners of all backgrounds, & have have 2 NIH funded scientists. And today, we became a division in @PittPediatrics. #soproud

I've started moving away from saying "abnormal", especially in conversations with patients and families, and saying something else, like "atypical" instead. "Normal" can have a very strong connotation in today's culture and society, particularly when talking about one's child.
