We really need to retire the term "progressive." It used to to refer to the non-revolutionary Left, but it's lost any coherent meaning - especially in municipal politics.

The Montreal police killed two people in the last 24 hours. The first was last night, the second this morning. This comes after months of the police and their media allies hyping a “crisis of insecurity” in the city.

Since 2020, Projet Montréal's guiding philosophy has grown more absurd and frightening as it fails upward. For PM, every social issue must be addressed by the police and every failure of that approach must be solved by adding more police.

Journalists who constant spin for the police are now writing pieces about how Meta's blocking of Canadian media - but not police press releases - is preventing the police from getting their message out. You're making it a little too obvious what your work involves.

I feel like everyone at Projet Montréal understands that the way to reduce GHG emissions in transportation isn't to teach drivers about climate change; it's to change the conditions in which people make decisions. But the police? An afternoon workshop should fix everything.
