I have been increasingly surprised how Twitter kept - mostly! - functioning despite firing devs + devs quitting, not paying vendors & having trouble hiring experienced engineers. A testament to the resilience of the system built by the former team.

Begpackers are the bane of my existence. Every time I go to a major Asian city, I find these shameless Westerners begging for travel money. KL, Taipei, Seoul, etc. These ones outside Chatuchak Market, Bangkok. It's disgusting. Travel is a privilege, poverty is not a choice.
