A commentary I wrote on the reality of image-based sexual abuse - and what survivors are living with - was published in the Herald Sun today.
Technology-facilitated abuse is serious sexual harm - and it must be treated as such.

Tech-facilitated abuse is being minimised while women live with the trauma.
Collective Shout campaigner @reneechopping centres the voices of women living with image-based abuse and calls for it to be recognised - and addressed - as serious sexual harm.

Amazon has “strict policies” against child sex abuse dolls, they claim.
We found this 100 cm doll – the size of a 3-4-year-old girl – in March.
Eight months later, it is still being advertised on the platform.
Of all the material comedians have to work with, some still can't come up with anything better than tearing women down.
Misogyny masquerading as comedy. How daring. How original. 🙄

The Government has responded to the schoolgirls campaigning to ban school uniforms from porn.
Pupils from The Cooper School in Bicester started a petition after saying their uniforms had become “inherently sexual”. It now has 26,000+ signatures.
Victims Minister Alex Davies-Jones told Metro: “Young women and girls should not have to grow up seeing their school uniforms sexualised, and I commend these pupils for speaking out.”
She says the law is changing so that porn showing an adult pretending to be a child under 16 will be an imprisonable offence.
The campaigners say that leaves a gap: they want school uniform banned from porn altogether. You can sign here:

How is child marriage still legal in the U.S.?
archive.is/wHv58
"Every three seconds, on average, a girl under the age of 18 is married somewhere in the world. In India. In Ethiopia. And, to our shame, in Illinois, Maryland, Colorado — and most of America.
Thirty-two states still allow child marriages in some circumstances, such as with the permission of a parent or a judge. Two states, New Mexico and Mississippi, have no minimum age at all.
Some of the defenders of child marriages in America are religious groups on the far right, but as a liberal myself, I find it deeply dispiriting that in a number of states they are joined by left-leaning organizations such as the local affiliates of the American Civil Liberties Union and Planned Parenthood — even, in Illinois, the National Organization for Women.
That’s right: Some progressives and feminists fight to defend child marriage, usually on the basis of “child rights.” I shake my head in disbelief: If you actually talk to girls and women who have been married young, what you often hear is the opposite of empowerment. Instead, it’s oppression and rape and the loss of education and childhood.
For progressive organizations to ally themselves with right-wing extremists to defend what sometimes amounts to state-sanctioned statutory rape — this is liberal self-caricature.
Thankfully, child marriage has just been banned in California, after a nine-year battle that should never have taken so long. Ten days ago Gov. Gavin Newsom of California signed a bill banning all child marriage in the state, in the presence of Courtney Stodden, a model and singer who was married at 16 to a 50-year-old actor who she says was abusive; he has denied that.
Previously, there was no minimum age for marriage in California, so long as a parent and judge consented. Progressive groups, including the state affiliates of the A.C.L.U. and Planned Parenthood, had worked to block passage of a ban, but opposition melted when the issue drew more attention.
As a longtime foreign correspondent for The Times, I often saw girls in Africa or South Asia married to older men; like most people, I saw this as a human rights issue. But in 2017 I realized, to my astonishment, that the same was happening in the United States — and at that time every single state allowed children to be married.
That year I interviewed a Florida woman, Sherry Johnson, who was married at 11 to a 20-year-old man, a member of her church, who had raped her. Johnson had become pregnant, child welfare authorities were investigating, and her parents and church wanted to avoid a messy criminal case.
“I guess you’re just going to get married,” she recalled her mother telling her."

Looks like @wembleystadium / @FA are in the business of avoiding responsibility for giving abuser @marilynmanson in July 2027 one of the biggest stages in the world.
I guess we can look forward to seeing Sean Combs on his comeback tour in 2028 then?!
Wembley & the FA will fob fans and the general public off! MACS have written to @AlexJJNorris @sianberry as well as @CllrNeghat councillor Millie Earl (@BCPCouncil) who opposed Manson’s 2025 tour.
We hope that journalists will reach out to Wembley, the FA and promoter @LiveNation for comment!

英国オックスフォードシャー州ビスターの女子生徒たちが、「ポルノでの学校制服の使用禁止」を求める署名運動を始め、署名が約5,000件に達した。(LBC、2026年9月29日、Flaminia Luck)。
運動の主体は、The Cooper School(ビスター)の「Little Feminist Bookclub」の女子生徒。Willow(14)、Rose、Aylin、Mae(いずれも15歳前後)ら。
lbc.co.uk/article/petition-b…
“It is crystal clear that anyone depicted wearing a school uniform in p*rnography - whatever their age and whether they are pretending to be an individual under 16 or not - is simulating a school-aged identity and therefore s*xualising children.”

Pornhub is removing videos with “sleep/sleeping” in the title and now warns that this content is illegal/nonconsensual when people search for sleeping videos. Thank you to Gisele Pelicot and every woman who has fought to make this world safer for women.
Gisele Pelicot, whose husband drugged her and allowed different men to rape her over the course of 10 years, is holding a public trial and allowing her name to be published, even though she didn't have to.
Her husband wished for a private trial, which would have allowed their names to remain anonymous, but she wanted to shame the men who have raped her and hold them responsible publicly for what they've done.
She told the court that she hopes her testimony might help spare other women from similar ordeals. She said she pushed for the trial in open court in solidarity with other women who go unrecognized as victims of sexual crimes.
Her strength is so unbelievable.
