Great morning spent with the team from @ecorobotix seeing the Alba in action here at Los Altos. Was thoroughly impressed with the technology and its ability to spot small poa plants in our ryegrass surfaces. This technology is a major step forward in sustainability in GCM.

🎯ALBA sprays in very small spots of about 3 x 3 cm (1.2 x 1.2 in).
💧2 booms & 108 nozzles make it possible to treat small patches instead of a whole strip. The healthy grass around weeds is untouched.

We initiated our first study with @ecorobotix ALBA @NCState. ALBA sprayed smooth crabgrass with 100% accuracy in bermudagrass fairway and reduced the herbicide usage by ~95% compared to broadcast treatments. Learn more about this technology at the Turfgrass Field Day on August 13

Spot spraying goosegrass in zoysiagrass. Already impressed with the accuracy, and the model is still in development.

Tomorrow is today! Targeted applications allow for spraying tough weeds with surgical precision saving you up to 80% herbicide. Lots to learn about how this tech can best serve turfgrass industry. Looking forward to collaborating with Ecorobotix!

Data without context have limited capabilities. They can make "cool-looking" maps but need ground-truthing to guide management. The AI models we are validating and building into @GreenKeeperApp CIS will help managers maximize the use of data to drive management decisions.

Bringing my recent aX and @GreenKeeperApp CIS posts together with the first maps.
-No irrigation adjustments needed afyer recent rains.
- Plenty of leaf N/chlorophyll except for a few areas near the approach.
