The Lever Voting Machine: Secure or Vulnerable? For generations, Americans voted with a satisfying CLICK Mechanical lever machines had real advantages. Their interlocking mechanisms prevented voters from selecting too many candidates, they eliminated loose paper ballots that could be altered or stolen, and they produced totals quickly. But they had a major weakness: There was no individual VOTER VERIFIABLE paper ballot. Your vote advanced a mechanical counter inside the machine. If a counter jammed, malfunctioned or was improperly altered, there was no voter-marked record to compare against the machine's total. Recounts meant rereading the same counters—not independently recounting the voters' choices making a real audit of the voter's intent impossible. After the disputed 2000 presidential election Congress passed the Help America Vote Act of 2002, providing federal money to replace aging lever and punch-card systems and establishing new voting-system requirements, including accessibility provisions. The giant levers eventually disappeared. But they left behind an important election-security lesson: Recording a vote isn't enough. There should also be a way to independently verify and audit the count.

CISA says hackers have attempted to breach voter registration systems in all 50 states, with confirmed success in at least 20 states! In their plan, found in the link below, specifically recognizes contractors and vendors as potential "third party insiders". Translated: third party private companies and individuals perform the election cheating, then a few corrupt election clerks cover for them. 1) Ban computers from elections. 2) Ban all foreigners from our elections 3) Require the clerks to run the elections, which the law already says, and oust the private vendors such as The Elections Group, Runbeck, Bluecrest, CTCL, National Vote at Home and many more.... One illegal vote is one too many

If I may offer some perspective: It’s a game, played with an inflated pigskin in between white lines. It is meant to entertain you and provide a source of community and recreation. Neither you nor I have any control over the outcome of the game. We just observe humans passing around or chasing the inflated pigskins, and sometimes trying to kick it between two yellow bars. Notably, it also won’t make you any happier in the long run. The proof is right there with LSU’s many football national titles in recent years with a fan base that has to have more and more of them to be satisfied. Ultimately, Mississippians and Louisianans are neighbors that would be called upon to survive together in event of crisis and have in the past served together in many wars. I served with an entire flight company from Louisiana when I was in Afghanistan when I was an Army officer who graduated from Ole Miss a few years before. Many of them remembered the time LSU beat Ole Miss 17-14 because our All-American kicker missed two field goals and Eli Manning tripped over his own guard at the very end. None of that defined our lives, and neither will the next few years of wins or losses. We were all there to provide the necessary support so everyone came home - and we did. It’s a game. Family, friends, church, meaningful connections matter much more.
