this is the best breakdown I’ve seen of the dark arts behind Block Blast!, the most downloaded mobile game in the world last year
intentionally making players lose to optimize which ads they see, the sophistication behind such a “simple” game is stunning.
I've been following this account for a long time knowing today was coming. It's surreal seeing the updates throughout the day and I learned a lot I hadn't known in the past 25 years.
September 11, 2001 has been a very rough and busy day, so by popular request I’m making a single thread with the day’s highlights:
1. 8:46 AM: the world was shocked by a surprise crash at the World Trade Center, initially perceived to be a small plane but soon discovered to be a deliberate jet collision.

This is just coming in: there appears to be a major fire on the upper floors of one of the towers of the World Trade Center in New York City.
Reports claim that a small plane, either a Cessna or a private jet, accidentally flew into the tower around the 80th floor, due to either an air traffic control communications error or a malfunction on the aircraft.
The dozens of victims are in our thoughts. We will continue to monitor rescue and repair surrounding this alarming accident.

This has to be rock bottom. Pathetic! #SFGiants
Just over 50 years ago in Nashville I was working for K95FM in Tulsa and attended the country music radio convention where I met @DollyParton She squeezed me so hard hugging me while giggling.
She said that she loves a man with “meat on his bones.” What a sweetheart.

OMG THIS. This so much. I’ve talked about this so much, that feeling you get walking towards an arcade. The sounds getting louder and that feeling like you walked through a magical portal as soon as you enter and the game sounds envelope your senses. The butterflies and excitement walking in.
I know it gets tiresome at times to hear old people gush about arcades, but there was nothing like it. I miss them so much and so genuinely wish those who missed out could experience what they were like. One of the best “second homes” anyone could have if you found the right arcade.

Time for the Hall of Fame to evolve and induct Mike Krukow and Duane Kuiper together. C’mon. Take a page from the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame and honor one of the best shows in MLB history.

Kruk & Kuip aren’t just broadcasters. They’re part of the fabric of The City. SF will never sound the same once Krukow retires. His absence will be felt.
Replying to @DamonBruce
Kruk & Kuip are the epitome of..."I've spent more time listening to them over the past 35 years than my wife"
