My quick review of @Dreamworks’ Forgotten Island:
Pros:
- A visual delight with plenty of interesting fantasy choices
- A buddy movie with heart and comedy
- The weaving of Filipino culture as comic & story elements was not as heavy handed.
Cons:
- We didn’t get to spend a lot of time in in the world’s other interesting places (the market, kapre world, etc)
- The way the conflict unwound in the final third was a little messy. (This is where a Disney-like simplicity/elegance would fit).
- Story fits older kids+

AI agents that build software need more than a capable model. They need context from the issue that started the work, the repository it touches, the pipeline that validates the result, and the security policies that govern what ships.
Watched 28 Years Later The Bone Temple in the movie theatre. What an awesome follow-up. It benefits from a more focused narrative and gripping story arcs that weaves in for a satisfying finish. A good first watch for 2026.
