Just saw an exchange that every politician and candidate should note.
Someone posted that their dad was considering voting for Ashley Moody because of negative ads about Angie Nixon.
And Angie Nixon showed up in the replies, addressed his concerns, explained what she’s fighting for, and made it personal.
People want to feel heard, not just talked at. Angie’s response was perfection 🔥

She was EIGHT MONTHS PREGNANT, getting her two children ready for school, when six officers arrived at the door with a warrant.
Porcha Woodruff thought it was a joke. They were arresting her for carjacking.
She and her fiancé asked them to check whether the suspect on the report was pregnant. They refused.
Detroit, the morning of 16 February 2023. She is 32.
Here is how they got to her. A woman had returned the victim's phone to a petrol station. Police ran facial recognition on the petrol station video. The software produced Porcha Woodruff.
Then — and this is the part that turns a software error into a human one — they put her in a photo line-up using an **eight-year-old picture** from a 2015 arrest. They had her current driver's licence. They used the old photo. The victim picked it.
A visibly, enormously pregnant woman was processed for robbery and carjacking.
She was held and released that evening on a hundred-thousand-dollar personal bond. By the time she got out she was having contractions from the stress, and a medical centre recorded a low heart rate from dehydration.
On 6 March the Wayne County Prosecutor dropped the case. Insufficient evidence.
Her lawsuit calls the match what it was: an "unreliable facial recognition match." The police chief said the allegations were "very concerning."
Think about the order of events once more, because it matters.
The machine was wrong. Then a detective chose an eight-year-old photograph over the licence on file. Then six officers went to a house.
Then nobody in that chain looked at a woman eight months pregnant and compared her to a report that did not mention a pregnant suspect.
Her story is a reminder of why these injustices must be documented, remembered, and challenged. Get our book which documents over 150 of the crimes against Black people savvypurchase.samcart.com/pr…
Blow: On June 1st, 1927 in queens, there was a giant Klan rally right? A thousand klansmen got into a scuffle with 100 police officers. And when the dust settled, seven. Only seven people were arrested. One of those people was Fred Trump.
Cooper: When I see this in print, I can verify
Phillip: The story has been reported many times.

"They have backdoored racism through the door of politics and we have to call it what it is. They're going back to a Jim Crow South on the issue of voting. Folks on the other side want to criticize me for saying that. I don't care. I don't care because I'm calling it what it is."

Moderator: Make the case for why the country would be better off if Democrats took over the US Senate.
.@TroyJackson207: We wouldn't be doing tax cuts for the wealthiest people in this country. We wouldn't be putting $70B in ICE, they're actually murdering people. We wouldn't be doing insane trade wars that cripple our economy. We wouldn't be in Iran, blowing up our fuel prices. People are going to start losing their businesses, losing their homes because of Republicans doing what Trump wants

MAGA is so freaking lazy. DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH! Isn't that what they're always bragging about, anyway?

Every time a journalist interviews a candidate who is an election denier or moderates debate with such a candidate, he or she should follow Clark's lead. Election denial lies by leaders starting with Trump have harmed our democracy. GOP enablers must be held accountable.
Replying to @KyleClark
I asked longshot GOP #COSEN challenger Mark Baisley how Coloradans can trust anything he says if he’s willing to push lies about election rigging.
Two instruments that should never meet but when they do, you get this.
The kora is 300 years old. 21 strings made from a calabash and cow skin, from West Africa.
The cello is 500 years old. 4 strings, from 16th century Europe.
Different worlds with different histories but they speak the same language.

The government assessed a disabled mechanic’s $115,000 home at over $1,000,000 and jacked his property taxes from $1,800/year to more than $30,000.
Darrell Lloyd paid CASH for the 960 sq. ft home. ZERO debt. But he can’t even afford to keep it because of taxes.
No basement. No second floor. He says it’s worth about $180,000.
LLOYD: “I’m at a loss. So right now, I don’t know what to do. I can’t even sell the house because they see the taxes. Everybody gonna run.”
So he went to the assessor’s office for help. Their response?
“Everybody’s taxes increased.”
Lloyd finally called FOX 32 Chicago. Only after the station got involved did officials admit the bill was a MISTAKE.
You work, you pay taxes.
You buy a modest home with cash, you pay taxes.
You get hurt and go on disability, you still pay taxes.
Then they assess your bungalow like a million-dollar estate and mail you a $30,000 bill.
Imagine how many Darrell Lloyds never called the local news...

A Georgia man gets tased by Coweta County deputies at a gas station over a seatbelt violation—on private property where the law doesn’t even apply. Charges dropped. He sues for excessive force.
While that lawsuit is pending, the same sheriff’s office runs his plate through Flock 5 times over 197 days, querying 6,000+ camera networks nationwide. Justifications entered: “info” and “37.”
He felt followed and watched near his home and business. Ended a 6-year contract servicing another PD’s vehicles because he no longer felt safe.
This is exactly what Flock enables: retaliation against people who challenge them.
