1. Go where the people are. This is what Paul did. He reasoned in the synagogue because the Jews were there, and in the marketplace because the people were there. 2. Look for foot traffic. Even better, look for people who will be standing around for a while. Bus stops, lines outside venues, campus walkways between classes, and intersections with long lights, etc. 3. Consider the sound. Traffic, machinery, and construction can make a location practically useless. Find a place where your voice carries and where you can preach plainly without having to scream yourself hoarse. Look for areas with Good acoustics. 4. Know where you’re standing. Learn the property lines, the local ordinances, and any restrictions on amplification. Keep doors and walkways clear, and other common sense courtesies. 5. Keep going back. There is much to be said for preaching at the same place, on the same day, week after week. People get to know you. Some who laughed at you in the beginning may eventually approach you with serious questions. I've seen this a lot. 6. Pray, and get on with it. Choose a place and go preach. You can spend so much time looking for the perfect location that you never actually preach.

Brother, how do you pick the place you are going to street preach?

Christians, have faith in the means of grace. The less your church service appeals to the flesh, the more you will have to exercise faith in the sufficiency of Scripture, and the richer your spiritual experience will be. Strive up your inward ladder and behold your God today.

#OTD August 23, 1572: Catherine de’ Medici sent her son, the young King Charles IX of France, into a panic with threats of an imminent Huguenot insurrection. Frenzied, he cried, “Kill them all! Kill them all!” In response, Catholics in Paris began slaughtering the Huguenots who had gathered for a royal wedding. The violence quickly spread to other cities across France. Most estimates place the number of Protestants killed between 5,000 and 10,000, though some put the total as high as 20,000.

‘Very few within the evangelical church, including those who would describe themselves as “Reformed,” have a working knowledge of these Christian witnesses. And this is a great shame, for they “belong to us,” so to speak. Those faithful Covenanters who lived out a brave faith in the Lord Jesus Christ in evil days are our brothers and sisters.’ Joshua Kellard relates why the witness of the Scottish Covenanters is worthy of the earnest attention of evangelical Christians today. banneroftruth.org/uk/resourc…

"But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life." But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever. I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints. — Psalm 52:8-9
