Great news! 🎉 Since 2021, the Farm to School initiative has enabled healthy, locally grown produce for nearly half of all CA students. Combined with #SchoolMealsForAll, #CA continues leading the way on childhood nutrition while fighting #FoodInsecurity.
NEW: CA’s farm to school program is funding 195 projects to expand access to healthy, locally grown food for 1.65 million students.
The farm to school initiative works in tandem with CA’s universal school meals program to bolster childhood nutrition!

“At the current pace, [ @refb ] will serve more people this year than at any point in our 36-year history. It is costing us more due to price increases in food and gas. On top of that, donations are down, which is adding fuel to the fire.” buff.ly/3qTrdKU via @jflgarnett
